- Very good location, 10 minutes away from the airport - the creek is across the street, the creek view rooms are recommended - very friendly area, minimarkets, laundry, pharmacy, cafes ...etc.. are a walking distance - the staff are friendly and ready to help - the breakfast is good, diverse and the restaurant is renovated in a very nice way. -rooms are quiet and relaxing, the beds are super comfy - the gym is suitable for short stay, not spacious but does accommodate - pool on the roof, amazing view of Dubai and the airport and the creek, well maintained the area of Samaya Hotel Deira is very friendly , and what makes Samaya the right choice is that it is really friendly hotel.

We stayed twice at the Samaya. Once outward bound for start of cruise from Abu Dhabi, and the second time on return from end of cruise at Athens. The Samaya is very comfortable with welcoming staff who made us feel very much at home. We both times arrived late ( around 12am) and we received a prompt and efficient check-in. Great breakfast. The taxi fare from the airport is very reasonable.

Very clean, quite, well located hotel close to airport road & shopping malls. From the minute we arrived to the time we left we enjoyed every minute of our stay. We will come again soon for sure with the family.

this is my second visit and stay in this 5 star basic hotel. very clean, quite, well located hotel close to airport road, shopping malls, marina and golf course as well as some of the government offices such as Municipality, Chamber of Commerce, Telephone exchange, airlines and some tourist attractions this less known hotel provides all the comfort that businessmen or families look for. complimentary wifi, large spread of breakfast, option of discounted meals if one needs to go for lunch or dinner in the same hotel of stay, lounges around for lazy cup of coffee or short meetings, Samaya provides you all the comfort a frequent traveller like me prefers. One drawback but is this is no alcohol permit hotel and managed by sizeable Arabic speaking staff by very polite and hospitable. Restaurants managed by Filipino and Indian staff offers variety of Arabic, western and Indian options with vegetarians and diet conscious people as well. I would definitely look forward to revist and stay in this quite hotel as compared to many loud, garish and crowded hotels that Dubai is known for, a must for families and busy businessman!

From the minute we arrived to the time we left we enjoyed every minute of our stay. We received early check in as we arrived at 9am check in was at 2 .The room it self was clean and roomy, and was cleaned every day .Breakfast was amazing eggs made to order tomatoes ,beans ,bacon and cakes and donuts and many other options. The swimming pool was a reasonable size and was warm. The staff were very friendly and always helped out when we needed any information about Dubai. The metro was in walking distance of the hotel .All in all a tremendous stay I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone.

The man who checked us in intimidated me with calling the police upon check in after a misunderstanding which was initiated from his side. WHERE IN THE WORLD IS IT POLICY TO ASK A GUEST WHAT THEIR RELIGION IS UPON CHECK IN!! That was basically how I was greeted upon check in, his name was ISLAM , a very intimidating man who is extremely curious and intrusive ( IT RAISED THE HAIR BEHIND MY NECK) about the guests who check in and asks personal question that are non of his business. After my encounter with him , I honestly did not feel safe in my room. I feel he should be psychologically evaluated and put through more-extensive training ( REGARDING CUSTOMER ORIENTATION) to determine if he is mentally stable and capable of handling guests, it would be in the interest of both the hotel and himself. BOTTOM LINE HE SENT SHIVERS DOWN MY SPINE It would be a wise decision for young couples or "SOLO FEMALE TRAVELERS" to choose an international brand name hotel YOUNG COUPLES AND "SOLO FEMALE" TRAVELERS STAY AWAY FROM SAMAYA HOTEL, for your own safety

We stayed for a two night stay from 27th February to 1st March. Our room number in the Samaya was 401. We arrived to check in and were told to sit down and wait to be called by the Receptionist on reception, I didn't get her name, but she appeared abrupt and very stressed. When we were called back to Reception we were checked in by Kristina, who was very helpful. We had payed for an upgrade of a Creek View room, which I feel quite cheated by as yes we could see the creek, just, but only if you knelt in the window and craned your neck to the right, we had a view of the car park otherwise. The photographs that are on the website are obviously out of date, as they don't show the hotels in front of the Samaya (The Hilton for example), so I get the feeling that they haven't been updated, or cleverly photographed to not show the buildings in front, that's probably why you don't get a creek view when you pay for one, but they really shouldn't advertise these rooms, and get customers to pay extra for them when they don't get what they have paid for. After all over £400 GBP to stay for two nights isn't exactly a bargain, not that I expected it to be, but I would at least expect to get what I paid for. The room itself was spacious, but the bed and pillows were not at all comfortable, and the rooms are in serious need of a makeover, everything is looking very tired and old, and the stains all over the cushions on the bed were rather off putting. There wasn't even a teaspoon, you were provided with wooden stirrers. Also the door stop in front of the toilet is not at all necessary, I stubbed my toe on it numerous times. The cleaning of the bathroom wasn't done to the best that it could have been done, there was hair in the bathroom, that wasn't mine or my Husband's, and the bath, shower and sink weren't up to the cleaning standards that I would do in my own home, there was also a streak of something on the tiles that I had to wipe off, not nice, cleaning standards need to be tightened up. The first evening we had to call maintenance as we had no hot water, they did arrive quickly to sort this, but really no hot water in what's meant to be a four star hotel, which I think is most definitely debatable after Staying there. The second evening when we returned, I had to again call, this time it was housekeeping as we hadn't been left any towels. Breakfast - well there's a shambles if ever I saw one. Over 15 minutes to get coffee, and that was only after asking somebody who walked past who then sent over Jenny, who said "you want coffee?", what a delightful little ray of sunshine she WASNT! She just seemed to be looking around to see how she could escape doing any work. Again, we paid extra to have breakfast, and really wish we hadn't, we only went on the first morning as it was such a horrible experience, the choice of food I don't think was great either we had bread rolls and cheese, as the rest of food didn't look in the slightest bit appetising. Before coming to the Samaya we had had a three night stay in a five star hotel at JBR, and I really regret choosing to come to the Samaya, I know that the Samaya hotel is a four star and the one at JBR was a five star, but the difference in every detail was just vast, it makes such a difference to see staff that are happy in there job and go above and beyond to help you enjoy your stay, to coming to the Samaya where the staff (well the ones we dealt with) made you feel like a nuisance and inconvenience and not at all welcome. The only helpful staff were Kristina on Reception and the Concierge. I didn't bother reporting my issues at the time, as we had a lot that we wanted to do and see in Dubai, so we decided to just use it as a base to stay, but we most certainly won't be staying here if we return to Dubai, and most certainly wouldn't recommend it.

My mom and I stayed there for 2 nights before we got on our cruise. The hotel is very well located, the cab fee from airport to Samaya was only few USD. We arrived around 10 AM but check in was around 2 PM, the receptionist however managed to give us access to a clean room right away, so we were able to shower and get some rest. The rooms are cleaned, and have everything you need (aside from paper towel :-)) or extra towels. Beds were comfortable, we could barely hear any noise from hallways etc... The concierge service were outstanding ding, they went above and beyond to make us happy, to accommodate our needs. Their breakfast is amazingly good and well presented, and offers a lot of variety (you won't find your bacon though) You need however to tell the waiters that you need coffee, they won't come to you. After our 10 day cruise, we had a whole day to spend before we flew back to the US at 2 AM, we visited AL Ain and we asked the hotel if they could keep our luggage (about 30 pieces as we were a big group) they said no problem, and didn't charge us for that. The restaurant at the hotel is a Chinese restaurant, and as an Asian person I can tell you that the food was exquisite. Overall, we were sooo pleased with this hotel and will go back there if we have the opportunity again. You won't be disappointed.

Great location between gold souk and airport. I don't recommend here for vacations. Its more in business district. Neighborhood is under below the luxury. Metro station is around 300 m away. Rest very helpful staff, great rooms with well equipped and enough space. Its alcohol free zone. Best rate, compare with hotels in dubai, this is the best hotel so far, i satisfied with this rate. Great buffet at a rate 17$. Nice lobbly. I recommend here for your short stay and business trips.

I spent 5 days conducting an engineering seminar in the Diwan room on the first floor. The banquest service was always very good and the inclusive lunch was always excellent... The espresso is very good also! (I believe it is Melida brand). Kudos and big thanks of appreciation for Mr. Jude, Mr. Mofizul, Mr Aurelio and also Ms. Jeanette. I had been there in this hotel about 4 to 5 years ago and my fond memories were well substantiated this time around again.
