Everything was horrible. The staff was very rude at reception, dining, and detail store. The room was dirty, the linens were poor quality the bed was so hard it was not possible to sleep on. The floor was sticky and smelled like it had been mopped with dirty water. The door to the room did not lock. The hallways did not have air conditioning. The dining options were very basic and poor quality food.

Staff were fantastic. Arrived got a uber from airport from terminal 1 to hotel less than half an hour even in traffic and cost less than £20.When you arrive go through to the short stay car park where staff will guide you to your uber,you will have a code from Uber.Give the code to the staff and this will guide you to your car Arrived at hotel seen immediately no wait.Allowed to check in and start the all inclusive straight away.We were even upgraded to ninth floor. Room lovely two very large single beds pushed together for a double? Plenty of sockets to charge phones etc-they use uk plugs do no adaptors necessary. I am not a foodie but the food in this hotel was my favourite.It’s buffet style.You can book the Asian,Lebanese and Italian restaurant on the Riu app The Riu app is great only works when you are actually in the hotel and you can order things like more towels etc You get a beach towel card which you hand in and get back when you get your beach/pool towels Plenty of loungers by the pools or on beach Italian restaurants Palms very nice chilling lovely food Have a sports bar but you can’t take alcohol in there so you can’t enjoy a drink and watch the game.They also only have one lager and it’s on tap.Drinks are in small glasses so need to go back to bar to refill often. Entertainment team is very enthusiastic. All staff were wonderful.Deira island has lots of building work going on.Dubai warm in day but need a sweater in the night

Family of 5 stayed in 2 rooms for 4 nights. Both rooms were spotless however room 6054 smelled of damp. So we just used that room as storage for our suitcases and we all slept in the other room. Beds were comfortable. Room cleaning services were great. All inclusive drinks in fridge topped up 48hrly. Restaurant buffet had a nice variety of tasty food. Kids enjoyed the pool, water park and beach which were just a few seconds walk from the hotel- very convenient. On our last night were lucky enough to attend an ABBA concert at the hotel theatre which was a nice treat. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Would stay here again and would recommend.

This was my first time staying at a RIU facility and we had a great time. It was a birthday trip and the front desk staff were very accommodating in moving us away from the construction site. The area is developing and will soon include numerous hotels and shopping centers. The beach and pool is great, but the cleanliness of the pool could be better (the gutters have yellow stain all over them). But the lifeguard does amazing job in keepinh everyone safe and enforcing the no food/drink at the regular pool area. The restaurants, we loved the italian and i enjoyed the lebanese. Buffet was a hit and miss. Breakfast is simple and lunch and dinner have a lot more variety. The unfortunate part was that my mother got food poisoning the last day we were there (during breakfast) and wish there was a vending machine in the lobby with some over the counter medication. She ended up in bed for an entire day with excruciating stomach pains and the "nurse" at the resort was a joke. She cant do anything and when i asked what she can do, she just shrugged her shoulders. I ended up taking a cab to the pharmacy. I did find Antinal which is amazing and paid $3 in one of the mall pharmacies. Overall, we would go back but will be more prepared with food poisoning medication.
