The hotel and grounds are fantastic, absolutely faultless and in an incredible location.
Staff are all very friendly and either we were very unlucky or the service levels could be improved though, with a few lacking small touches:
- poor intro / day 1 experience
- poor clarity on areas, the lobby bar appeared to be for the ‘manzil’ club members only due to signage
- missing items from the menu’s
- average breakfast / poor breakfast experience with no ‘day 1’ recognition
- poor explanation of the grounds e.g adults only pool wasn’t clear regarding bookings
- room not cleaned until around 7pm day 1 (when we were trying to get ready to go out)
- turn down service missed on the last night
- 4am check out last day and no offer of breakfast takeaway, something I’d expect for a 5 start hotel
Very disappointed in the Expedia benefits scheme.
- VIP room upgrade. The hotel didn’t know anything about this/denied knowledge. Upgrades were available online for this duration but not offered or provided.
- it took 4 visits to receive the appropriate food & beverage discount advertised on Expedia. Staff tried to say this was only for food and soft drinks. Very disappointed in needing to argue this point. If the discount was on food and soft drinks and that was explained it would be no issue but this is not what was stated.
