Excellent location, great clean facilities, courteous & friendly staff and great value. Single bedroom apartment very spacious with cpmplete kitchen utilities including microwave, dishwasher and washing machine.
Great place, nicely furnished apartment. Place is clean and room is serviced including washing dishes. I have liked also 1st floor fitness club, sundeck and swimming pool. Just 8' from metro station. Everything nearby including 24/7 shops. Equipment is good, somewhat on the low side regarding frying pans and cooking pots. Otherwise all good including friendly personnel at the desk. Really a place to recommend with no restriction.
This property in great place, so close to so many things, rooms nice and OK value. Sour-face on front desk Chinju spoil my experience, she look like your Mother when she tell you off, I use to hate going to ask for anything!
We stopped at oaks liwa heights hotel apartments jameriah lake towers for 6 months. Nice location. Plenty of restaurants and shops nearby Park area 2 minutes away. You can walk to Dubai Marina over Metro bridge about 10 minutes walk. Shame about the cleanliness of oaks liwa apartments. Really grubby apartment when we arrived. Asked housekeeping to clean the bathroom and kitchen. Looked no better when they had done it. The windows off the balcony were filthy complained to housekeeping, they never cleaned them. Eventually scrubbed the shower cubicle and bathroom floor myself and the windows. Housekeeping have not got a clue how to go on. Really bad housekeeping management. Staff are friendly enough.
Great location, great property spoiled by other factors. Family of loud Saudis in adjacent room on Saturday, over-zealous maintenance scraping wall behind my headboard at 7am on Friday, Sour-faced receptionist (Chitju) every day. Shame, nearly there...
We had to book this last minute and were not disappointed with what we got. We had a two bed serviced apartment. All the rooms were of a good size, especially the communal area. No issues with the cleanliness, the kitchen was well stocked and we were lucky enough to have a good sized balcony with furniture which overlooked the marina. The price is very reasonable for what you get - would recommend.
So I had to book this past minute as there was a mix up with our other hotel. We arrived and staff were great. Reception is clean and minimal. The apartment rooms are brilliant. I have never stayed in apartments as big as these for as cheap. Could have a 50 person function in our living room easily. Will be back next time I pop over to Dubai.
I stayed 10 days and had a good experience. The apartment was specious and clean and the staff members were helpful. The location was also good (5 minutes walk from the metro station). The area where the hotel is situated had shops, cafes, restaurants, hair salons...
Lovely staff, clean and bright place. Hot water is limited for a shower in the morning to be honest, but I never told them. Annoying, very annoying having to re log in to WIFI every day (staying for a month) especially when told I didn't have to do this. Issues with Wi-Fi as it doesn't let me log into my work database but everywhere else does? Like the place. Could do better but really okay. A bridge across the "pond" could be help rather that walking forever to the bridge to get to the marina. Not their problem though.
First of all, we absolutely loved this hotel. We thought it was very convenient for the Metro station and Dubai Marina, although JBR is a bit of a walk away (it took us about 40 minutes but that was at strolling pace and stopping for coffee etc), but it only takes 5 minutes in a taxi and costs around DHS 20.00. We went to the beach several times during our stay and always used a taxi, they are easy to find outside the hotel, and if not, the concierge will call one for you. The rooms are huge, and it was an absolute God-send having so much space when we fell ill and weren’t able to leave the apartment for a few days. It was also great being able to use the mini-supermarkets (Zoom) nearby so we were able to stock up on everyday essentials to make breakfasts and lunches in the convenience of our own little apartment. It really was like a home-from-home. While we were feeling under the weather we got a couple of takeaways from the local restaurants surrounding the hotel (anyone who has been to JLT knows that every block has plenty of them on the ground floor level), we can recommend the Lebanese restaurant directly joined to the hotel and also the pizza place. Obviously in both these places you can still ‘sit in’ and enjoy the view around the lake as well. One small point we noticed about the kitchen supplies, it was lacking a few basic things such as tea-towels, oven gloves and (strangely enough) bowls! There was only one large salad bowl which I had to use for cereal which I found a bit bizarre! Also our bedroom curtains didn’t fully close properly, we managed to fashion a way to pull them across using a couple of hair clips, not ideal, but not a big problem either. As far as housekeeping goes, I don’t really know why they are getting a hard time on reviews. We found that they came every day without fail, cleaned all our dishes, mopped the floors, made the bed etc. Ok, they didn’t change the towels or bed-linen but I am sure they would if we had asked. One day the cleaner was there while we were sitting on the balcony and he noticed that we were coughing and blowing our noses a lot, so he kindly said about the change of environment and wished us a speedy recovery….the next day we found a couple of extra bottles of water and boxes of tissues left out for us which I thought was a nice touch I think his name was Moses. The hotel reception staff were also very helpful when we spoke to them, no issues whatsoever, and always smiled and said hello when we walked past. Not sure why some people found them ‘dis-interested’. The rooms are very quiet and if you can get a high floor the views are great across the lake and looking out onto the Marina. Hint: We found the Marina nightlife to be lacking any kind of atmosphere, I think the secret is to go to the top hotels for a nice restaurant and views, otherwise you will be hounded by street-touts practically chasing you down the street. JBR is nicer atmosphere for families/couples wanting to dine out and you don’t get any hassle. Also, the JBR beach beds are very expensive, DHS 195.00 for 2 beds, a parasol and table. You are free to take a towel and just lay on the sand for free which we only tried on the last day and found that it wasn’t as uncomfortable as you might think!
