Nice resort and hotel at the edge of Jebel Ali, about 45-60 minutes drive from downtown Dubai. If you intend to stay mainly in the city: don’t go here. If you appreciate the quiet, the very hospitable Staff and the excellent Food and facilities: JA Palm tree court is the place to be. The premises is very well cared for and looks great. Staff is very helpfull and friendly. We made this trip due to a special occassion and the Staff made it an even more special trip. WiFi was good, room was very good, service was excellent. Shuttles ran on time. Tip: short flight with Seawings (waterplane) over Dubai, with take off next to resort. Very worthwhile!
I have been going to Palm Tree Court once a year for a number of years now. We arrived early morning about 2.00a.m.Before even wishing us good morning or exchanging pleasantries ,the receptionist informed us he would be charging us an extra night. I had expected this but I did not expect his manner which was not in line with a 5 Star Hotel. I had called the previous day about a limousine pick up and checked several times that the hotel understood the details. We arrived to find no car waiting and had to wait an hour to get one. This involved many calls to the hotel. The selection of food this year was not as good as in the past. The housekeeping and restaurant staff were wonderful as usual. It was the reception staff who were lacking. We left at 4.30 a.mon on 2nd of Jan.The same receptionist checked us out. Again no pleasantries, just "Can I have the credit card?" Time for a change of hotel for me. I
There clearly is an appeal to this place, adjacent to its partner, the Jebel Ali Hotel, with which it shares most facilities. I guess the appeal is that everything you could possibly need is available on the complex, which is about 45 minutes from Dubai Airport, and if you don't want to be in downtown Dubai Blingsville, this is far enough away. That said, the Jebel Ali and the Palm Tree Court are pretty industrial in size - consequently the property is awash with courteous, well-meaning, staff; but there's something missing - there just isn't the level of polish and finesse that a 5-star hotel should have. Exceptions are the stylish White Orchid and La Traviata restaurants, the lovely 7th floor adults-only bar, and the 9-hole golf course. Otherwise, it's just adequate, not special. Added to that, the way it's positioned apparently attracts a number of guests who don't understand how to behave, or to control their kids at an upscale hotel, and a location that is one of the more barren and industrial that you'll ever see...the ocean view, which long ago looked onto the Gulf, now and probably forever, looks out on the immense and partly-constructed Palm Jebel Ali, a testament to over-optimism. One benefit is that the beach is now on a lagoon that is perfect for water-sports, but you couldn't call it pretty! In summary, it's hard to put a finger on my dislikes - I think it's just too big, and inadequately managed.
We were greeted at the airport and taken in style to the hotel where were amazed by the outstanding Christmas decorations. They must have taken hours to do and with such care. We had 2 suites and they were spotless and very well appointed. Staff could not have been more helpful, it was myself, husband and our 5 children, everyone was kind to the children. Kids club was amazing and they kept asking to go back for longer!! La Fontana was perfect for the children and nobody batted an eye when my 4 year old dropped his plate! The beach bar was super and kept us supplied with mango and apple juices. Christmas dinner was so much fun and winter wonderland was the icing on the cake. We did not want to leave and will most certainly return for Christmas next year. Thank you for a superb experience.
We have stayed here many many times and it never fails to disappoint. Lovely accommodation, amazing service and superb food - what more could you ask for. Just a relaxing and lovely place to unwind. Highly recommend.
Been staying at palm tree court for many years now. Royal jasmine The service accommodation food and staff are outstanding We spend xmas and new year there it's amazing There are 3 people in my party myself hubby and 15 yr old daughter and we are treated like royalty The star of the show this year has to be ALWYN the most friendliest helpful and kind waiter at signatures bar nothing was too much trouble and he is very good at his job have to mention bunny and the reception staff at signatures also. Just the best service ever. Enjoyed our stay as always and have already booked for next year. You have to visit this place it's unbelievably good Lisa Mark Brooke xx
This is an extremely well run family resort ideal for those looking for a relaxing holiday outside the city with the option to travel in by free shuttle bus or other means. We stayed over Christmas on an all inclusive package which we found to be excellent value. Several restaurants to choose from, all offered really excellent food and service and recommend booking in advance during peak periods. We found our suite to offer everything we needed and it was extremely well serviced at all times. The staff throughout the resort are extremely welcoming, friendly and professional so we felt totally relaxed from the moment we arrived. The grounds are beautifully kept, we loved the peacocks that roam around them and down to the beach and the beach itself is pristine and the water very clear and pleasant to swim in despite the ugly industrial sites out in the distance. It has been mentioned before that there are a lot of children at this resort and there were quite a few large family groups over christmas, mostly English, this might not be everyone's cup of tea but we always managed to find exactly what we wanted in terms of a quieter spot near the beach and personally weren't bothered by this in the bars or restaurants. What really stands out here is the excellent, genuinely friendly, professional service offered by all the staff at the resort and that along with great food and very welcome winter sunshine made for a really enjoyable family break.
I have stayed at this hotel before. Due to the time of year the hotel was at full capacity. Not the best time to go as lots of families & alot of un controllable children. I stayed with my children & realise we all parent differently but most of the children were little & even though adorable they became too much after few days. The noise in restaurants & on the beach was too much, making the atmospher rather un pleasant with alot of Non children dinners unhappy. We are pretty chilled & have all been there with our little ones however personally i wouldntlet let my children behave in such an un ruley manor! NYE Gala buffet dinner was a let down as the mass catering meant our food over cooked & cold. The marquee , staff & entertainment was fantasic though, even though i ony got 1 photo. I have to chase the photographer for the other not the hotel as i checked out yesterday! ( bit of a drag) From my previous stay i was a little disappointed this time as clearly full capicity in the resort meant few mistakes. *Big rip in bed sheet. *Starters & mains arriving same time. Most of the staff are fantastic & so curtios except the Asian lady in sports bar nye. Very rude & didnt ask how we wanted our steak. Her reply when i asked how it came "yeh medium. Only medium ok!" Clearly because of NYE they used their trainee staff as she was awful but the little asian young guy even though not trained properly was trying his best & made us so welcome. Dinner under the stars was fantastic & our private indian waiter (sorry cant remember his name) was so charming & professional. He told us he only started 6mths ago but he was fab!Good luck to him as he is an excellent member of staff. Food under the stars was amazing prob best fillet Ive had (im owner of a small catering company). Lots of little snags this time due to the resort being so full. However I love the hotel grounds, setting & peacefulness thats why I choose to stay there & not in the brash, over rated, over priced, OTT, loud city/palm. Staff are All generally brilliant & work so hard. Food is delicious & as we go Allinclusive it pays for our drinks as Dubai booze is so expensive! My kids love it there wanted to go there for their 13th bday. They received a free bday cake too which was lovely. I love this place but the snags were annoying. I could see the staff doing their utt most for some really Rude & Awkward customers.I understand the pressure of hospitallity so I didnt complain much & just enjoyed my hols.
All fantastic Services , facilities , food and especially new year amazing Just a little disappointed nothing really major done Christmas Day . Great food and band but other than some morning activities the kids didn’t get the big santa enterance and the garden party brunch other hotels offer . We booked this year because they offered the best Christmas in 2015 so it was disappointing That said the new year , beach party , live music , food and facilities made up for it so booking to return Best thing about the hotel is it attracts many people from Europe especially the uk so everyone very friendly There is no water park anymore but you can get discounted tickets to LEGO water park and other parks which was well worth the trip and recommended for 5-12 year olds Very clean resort , setting beautiful and the restaurants are 5 star especially white orchid our favourite by far . Amazing food and top notch service Quality of drinks excellent Lots to do or just relax in the many pools Winter wonderland the best for Christmas spirit and kids where we all met up each evening for the bouncy castle and games The butler service really does help make life easier and they appear so genuine and attentive . It lived up to expectations Service was good but more staff needed in some bars as often queues quite long at certain times . Despite this the staff were always friendly and attentive Rooms fantastic can’t say anything other than perfect . We were residence and it was incredible . However, if you like sun outside room book block 1 or 2 instead . We are rebooking with several people to return for both Christmas and new year so despite some little issues overall wow
We arrived on 21st December for a 13 night stay over Christmas and New Year. We had originally booked a Beachfront Junior Suite but decided to upgrade to Royal Jasmine on arrival. We paid £1500 to upgrade which is much cheaper than the quote we had prior to leaving the UK!! We were very pleased with the upgrade as we had access to the signature lounge/pool, drinks service by the pool and the Butler Service. We also took advantage of the free pressing service!! Much appreciated as I never iron before packing! You are not allocated one specific Butler but there are 4 butlers who are happy to help with restaurant bookings, excursions, printing boarding passes etc. Generally more of a concierge service, albeit very efficient and the guys eager to please. Room: Our room was immaculate and Dinesh did a superb job in cleaning our room, twice daily, and happy to provide endless clean towels and water. Dinesh was certainly one of the best housekeepers we have ever had on our travels and always smiling. The toiletries provided are by Elemis and there are plenty of nail files, cotton pads, earbuds, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion. Really no need to bring these from home! Our room did not have a docking station or a coffee machine, only a kettle and Nescafé! The mini bar was not included either. Food: We enjoyed the restaurants, however our favourite was the Italian. The atmosphere was good and the burrata amazing! I don’t think there were any items not included in the “all inclusive” package. The White Orchid was also very nice but many items were not included on the AI package. I can understand that lobster/oysters etc would be extra but some of the excluded dishes didn’t really make sense. We were not so keen on shooters, just found it an odd setting and a good 10 minute drive from hotel. Divez was excellent and the fish superb and they certainly don’t restrict your portion size. It’s also a nice setting and pleasant walk back to the hotel. The sports cafe is a really good option for lunch, as lots more choice than the others, wraps, salads etc. We generally found the food quality to be excellent and didn’t have a bad meal. I would strongly recommend the All Inclusive package, without this we would easily of spent around £300/350 per day for three of us! It would of been nice to have more choices of Wine, as if you go off the AI menu the wine is very expensive. We did the Bateaux Dubai cruise, as two adults were free, due to our upgrade, we just paid for our daughter. Drinks were not included though but you could pay around £20 extra to have unlimited wine/beer. Personally we thought this trip was overrated, the food was okay but the actual cruise was quite dull with not a lot to see. The boat was very nice though. Our server was quite abrupt and we felt rushed to choose our food and drinks, he was certainly the least friendly member of staff we came across during our stay. Water sports: This is independently run alongside the hotel. As we were part of the Royal Jasmine we were able to use the non motorised facilities free of charge as many times as we chose. We certainly took advantage of this. The staff are really friendly and fun. The only minor issue we had was the “Boss” had decided to take his kids out on the Ringo and seemed to refuse to come back for the slot we had booked. We waited nearly 50 minutes then gave up! The staff were so apologetic but not really a good impression of the owner! Christmas The hotel really go to town over the festive period. My daughter had a stocking on her bed on Christmas Eve and they had a Winter Wonderland for the little ones. Even Santa made a visit!! You could of had a full Christmas Day lunch and the staff certainly tried to make it special. Throughout the Christmas week there were brunches with live music at various venues, all with lovely food. The icing on the cake was the New Years Eve party. They certainly do not hold back for this, with a huge marquee set up by Divaz. The theme was Moulin Rouge and a red carpet laid down and beautifully decorated tables to go with the theme. The live band were amazing as were the fireworks at midnight. The buffet was also superb, with lobster, oysters etc all included. I have never seen such a fantastic spread at a hotel. We all agreed it was one of the best NYE parties we have been to in a while. Staff All the staff we dealt with were so friendly and really made an effort to make sure we were enjoying our break. For us the ones that stood out are: Alwyn - our pool waiter, he works so hard and always smiling. Lahiru - who kindly set up our towels every day and always happy and very genuine guy Dinesh - fabulous housekeeper Tips: Breakfast is served in the White Orchid from 8am, we found this to be a much more relaxing setting than the others. We were given a discount voucher for the Atlantis Waterpark tickets , this was 25% off, so definitely worth asking for one! Unfortunately there is a “reserving sunbed” mentality, which was a little annoying. So I did get up at 7.30 every day to reserve a bed! I do think the management should do something about this, as some guests would reserve and then not be seen for hours. Make your dinner reservations before you arrive, as it was difficult to change them when we were there. It only took us 35 minutes in a taxi to get from the airport and also to Dubai Mall, so not far at all. A taxi costs around £20 each way. I can understand why this hotel has many repeat visitors. There were also a lot of extended families when we stayed. It’s also fabulous for children and caters for them very well. We would certainly return over the festive period again.. as it is also perfect weather!
