What makes this hotel outstanding is the staff and the outstanding service. Princes, on the desk the evening we checked in, delivered exceptional service from the moment we arrived. Always cheerful and eager to be helpful. The same can be said of the other staff, whether they be on the travel desk or room service. The hotel itself could use a renovation as it is looking dated and shabby, but still reasonably clean.
I just stayed at this hotel this past week for two days and was very disappointed. This may have been a four star hotel in the distant past, but it is no longer. It appears that very little maintenance is being done. When we arrived, the thermostat in our room did not work. The air conditioning was either all on or all off. I pointed this out immediately (it was night time) and they sent a maintenance person to look at it. He said it had to be replaced and would be replaced the next day. We slept with the a/c all on and the room was very cold, but it was impossibly hot with the a/c off. The next day we went on a day tour of the city and did not arrive back at the hotel until almost 10:00 PM. The thermostat had not been replaced. I asked again to have it changed, but was told it could not happen until the next day. The next day we left the hotel at 9:00 AM and returned at 2:00 PM. The thermostat had not been replaced. As we were leaving that night on a plane at 11:30 PM, I asked if we could have late checkout and was told the only way to have late checkout was to pay for another days charge. So, we had to sit in the hotel lobby from 2:00 PM until we left for the airport at 8:00 PM. I would definitely NOT recommend this hotel.
The hotel is not far from the airport. The hotel rooms are old but spacious. The bathroom fittings are also old and in bad shape. The staff is friendly and courteous. The hotel is located in Downtown Dubai and only a few minutes from the Al Rigga Metro. You can walk to coffee shops, restaurants and convenience stores. If you want to stay overnight in Dubai the hotel is not a bad option. Hotel rooms need urgent renovation.
I am a frequent traveller to all over the world since 2005 & stayed in many hotels & apartments but it is a worst experience of my life to stay in this so called 4 stars category hotel. Even damaging the name of Brand "Holiday inn" They have no facility like 4 stars & upon check in giving fake excuses regarding bad furniture, old style bathroom, specially there is very bad hard smell like insect spray on all floors. I do not recommend for business persons or any one who like cleanses.
The Bar next to the Lobby is well located and has some excellent staff. Jenny in particular shines above the rest, and adds atmosphere and great service. The bar itself appears to be poorly managed. As an example, they have 4 beer taps and a couple of good well advertised promotions. I went to utilise these, but found out quickly that 3 of the 4 taps did not have beer in stock??? This meant I could not use the promotion, so I ended up drinking a beer I dislike and paying a lot more for it. I've noticed Dubai has many people in positions they are not really suited to. Running out of beer in a pub kinda highlights this for the poor guy.
Hotel is located in close proximity to Al Riggs metro station. There are cafe, restaurants and grocery store around the hotel, a number of them are 24 hours! Wi-Fi facility is complimentary in the guest room & public area. Speed is as expected. The gym facility is a wee bit small, but workable if it's a short stay. The building of the hotel seem old & do require an uplift. However, the receptionist & belllman were friendly & helpful.
The staff is amazing . Helpful, specially the housekeeping. Well organized room and amenities , everything in place . Guys are attentive. A bit inside the town but easy access to main road and other places . Overall great experience. Would recommend to all.
I am a regular guest due to the ease of access and location, right beside the Al Rigga Metro (2 min walk, west exit with elevator). The staff are very helpful and friendly, and the renovated rooms are very nice. They executive suites have the best room lighting I have experienced. Amenities and furnishing is very nice with good bathrooms. I appreciate the high standard of care. Rooms are clean and very comfortable. The Trade Center is on the same metro line for easy access. The area is excellent for restaurants from fast food to cheap eats and nice restaurants with a large range of different cuisines. I really appreciate the bargain rates which even beat 3 star hotels. IHG Rewards Club membership will also get you extra benefits.
Discovered this hotel in February and have visit them over 25 times since then. Price-quality is perfect as well as the location of the hotel (close to bars and only 15 min away of Dubai mall) Staff will do everything to give you a great experience and they speak almost every language! Due to the small size everyone is working closely and problems will beloved smoothly. If you need some good sleep ask for a room far away from the inside bar since it can be noisy from time to time. Definitely worth a try!
This was the first hotel that I ever experienced in Dubai, before this one, I always experienced hotels in Iranian cities such as Kish, Shiraz, Tehran, Mashhad, ... So I was expecting much, When I was staying in this hotel I understand that this is a cheap hotel, not in a bad way but if you want to save money, you can stay here, expect as much as you pay, not more. For me, internet was free, but it seems that for Indian internet was not free, I am not sure about now or future, because sometimes we write a review and then hotel manager may decide to change a fact in their hotel. Room was not dirty, it was clean, but I saw a mark, maybe blood, maybe some other kind of jerk in the carpet, for me it was not important because some nations around the world walk on carpet by their shoes, so it should not be important; but for those nations who respect their house/home/room space more than street, I dont walk on carpet by shoe. Once in restaurant I took an apple, which cause to a conflict. Their boss finger tag me from far and the stuff asked me to put the apple back in the basket! I believe they think I am going to sell their apple in the market :-)) :-)) :-)) As a test I did check taking a kind of fruits in other hotels, nobody asked me to return the fruit :-)) :-)) This happens when you have a 4 star hotel but you want show yourself as a five star, you put fruits in basket, but nobody can take it. :-)) And, please guys! don't tip just because you want be polite! You should tip (you should, not a must) when you are so much of glad of the service that it was not their duty) So, once I feel pity to one of stuff and paid a tip, nest day, everybloody person on that floor was describing the same story to me and other customer to take a chance of receiving tip :-)) :-)) Hotel has bar and disco, floors near disco will suffer the noise or enjoy the music as their mental situation. They will execute you if they understand you bring a guest to your room.
