Poor housekeeping service

There were only two towels in the room, no hand towels, no wash cloths, no matts. This should all be standard and I would expect there is a certain standard before new guests are assigned a room. It seems their housekeeping isn't well trained and there is little quality assessment (most hotels I know have someone quality check rooms). Also, not a housekeeping issue, but one phone didn't work and the shower door wasn't sealed, flooding the bathroom after every shower. Standard quality inspections should rectify such issues.
