We stayed here for 5-6 days after Thanksgiving in the USA. November/December is a good time to go the weather was lovely and 80 degrees. The beach is nice and it's not too far to walk around. Many times we took a Uber to travel through Dubai. The hotel was clean. I loved the gym. The spa was nice but noisy during my treatment. They are expanding the spa and there was loud construction during my stay. They turned down the bed nightly. The lunch buffet was good. The club level was nice for breakfast but a little boring after a few days. My husband and I enjoyed celebrating our anniversary I would stay here again.

My husband and I were regular guests at Habtoor Grand, meaning that we were spending two 10-days vacations there each year for the past 6 years. Each time there were some issues during our stay, but we didn't want to pay extra attention, so that each time we went back, although there never has been any kind of recognition being Marriott member or returning guest. But our recent stay will definitely be our last there. 1. Reservation Department: When we arrived, they did not know that we have booked a Club Room, they made us call our travel agent, instead of them making the effort to contact with the agency that pays to them directly. The Booking Departments later apologized to us. 2. Reception: We were wrongfully accommodated on the 5th floor, then they gave us a room in the wrong wing, after that showed us a room with terrible smell of cigarettes, stating that this was a non smoking room. We were so tired of all this and the long flight, so we settled for a room with twin beds, although the reservation was for king bed, non smoking. 3. Food: We have always booked Club Room with Breakfast and Lunch/Dinner included. On our last visit, we regretted this decision badly: the breakfast at the Club Lounge is so limited, boring and cheap. Choice of eggs, beans, tasteless sausage, cold and old pastries, they serve only pineapple and watermelon as fruits, so that's the whole variety. The lunch and dinner were also very limited and absolutely nothing special. Even on Thursday, when it is the Sea Food night, everything is just tasteless and the products are cheap. The waiters are really not happy to be there and do not pay enough attention to the guests. 3. The Club Lounge is a disaster. At the beginning, when they opened the Club Lounge a few years ago, it was managed well and professional. At the moment, it is turned into a diner for British tourists, who use the cocktail hour for eating as much as they can, so that they don't go and pay for dinner later. So imagine the disgusting situation, when at 7 pm you are all dressed up to go for a drink at the lounge and you see people rushing to fill their plates with cheap canapés and popcorn. The staff are very few, that is why they are not efficient, although they really try hard. 4. Rooms: Visiting this hotel so often in the past 6 years, I can say that the management did good job at refurbishing the lobby and the restaurant. The rooms and bathrooms however have not been updated. In some rooms the mattresses are lower than the night stands, which is really uncomfortable. The sheets very often have stains, and a lot of the towels are ancient. They have regular issues with the hot water, meaning that, strangely, the shower has only very hot water and no cold water. 5. Swimming pool and beach: Swimming pool area is average, a lot of locals have Access cards, so during the weekend it is overcrowded and cannot find place after 9:30 am. And not just this: the management allows to scuba-diving coaches to enter the swimming pool with their trainees and the whole heavy and enormous equipment. So, there isn't any space there for swimming. The beach is very far from the sun beds. So, we noticed all these things step by step during the years, but our last stay combined all the issued together, so we spent more of our vacation out of the hotel, just to avoid getting really annoyed.

Not the most luxurious hotel we've had the pleasure of staying in, but, the location was great and pools lovely. We spent most of our time in the infinity pool, as this was adults only and offered great views and a nice bar offering drinks and snacks. Good location on JBR. Very clean rooms and we were offered a nice room to chill in until our room was ready (we arrived on a very early flight). A nice 4 star. Le Royal Meridien edges this hotel for luxury, however, still happy to recommended this hotel.

A very disappointing end to a great Christmas holiday. We had a 3 day stop over on our way back from Malaysia at this hotel. It was an awful finish to a lovely holiday. For comparison we usually stay at Le Royal Meridian or the Ritz Carlton these are amazing 5 star properties with outstanding staff. I assumed as the Habtoor is also 5 star I would receive the same. Not so. When we arrived it was like the staff didn’t know we were coming and they seemed disinterested as they were checking us in. We booked a twin room for 3 with sea view and club access. We were not given a Twin room and instead were given a double with a roll away bed. The sea view was what many hotels and agents would class as partial or corner sea view and not the full sea view we had booked. For club rooms they have 4 sea views per floor apparently the two in the middle fully look out onto the sea the two at each end of the hotel look onto buildings when you look out from the bed. To see the sea from that window you have to stand at an angle. The other window that can’t be comfortably seen from the bed looks over the grounds to the sea. The rooms were very dark and the decoration looked in need of an update. The floor lamp in our room had exposed wires. The club is small the breakfast is pleasant and they have cocktails. Children are allowed in this club in the evening some were not well behaved but this was not challenged by staff. In both the Ritz an Meridian children are not allowed after a certain time and poor behaviour is challenged politely by staff. The staff in the club had no personality and didn’t attempt to interact. There appears to be no dress code in the club if there is it was not enforced. The beach is a good 10 min walk room to sun bed and that is for a fit cross country runner with a large stride. Sun bathing by the only pool is very crowded there is no room to space your sun beds out. Shade is poor on the beach from the layout of the beds and parasols. In the other 5 star properties water is freely available in rooms and by the pool. At both Meridian and Ritz you are brought cool boxes with water and the water is replaced regularly and on request, this is in addition to the water bottles placed in your room each day. At the Habtoor you get 2 bottles in your room, you have to take these down to the pool with you. You don’t get any additional unless you buy it. It cost 20 AED for a large water by the pool the mini market just outside the hotel sold it for 2 AED - I expect to pay more in the resort but that is a disgusting mark up and we didn’t even get given glasses.

I've stayed at the Habtoor with my partner in December 2017. I've stayed their before and I have also stayed at a few other hotels along The Walk at Jumeirah Beach. I also used to live on Dubai Marina so I am very familiar with the area. In my opinion this is one of the nicest hotels in this part of Dubai. It is a very short walk from the "The Beach" development and benefits from being on the quiter end of Jumeirah Beach with less building noise. The hotel has excellent facilities with several high quality restaurants, a great pool, excellent maintained gardens and direct access to the beach. The rooms are spatious and very well appointed and the staff cannot do enough to help you. I would recommend a stay here to anyone.

Stayed second time in Dubai. First time 2012 at Dar Al Masiaf - at Jumeirah Beach close to Burdj el Arab - which was 5 star. This time at Habtoor. 2 adults 2 children 13 and 15 : familly tower room. The room was clean, ca 50 square meter. Sleeping coach teenager 1 and an additional bed teenager 2. We had 2 queen sized single beds that could be moved together. Sleeping and bathroom was fine - price for 8 days ca 3600 EUR from 25,12 to 01.01.2018 excluding breakfast Not cheap but still the most cost efficient way for a hotel over Christmas in Dubai. Checked prices extensively - this was actually the best price value. So we are very happy with that. Breakfast was crowded: the hotel called a day before arrival to offer a club lounge package including breakfast at level 25. Better seating less crowded but a bit less choices for breakfast. Still can choose to have breakfast at common restaurant which we did the last 4 days due to variety. The club lounge package was a great financial advantage compared to breakfast only. On top it offers the possibility to have a pre dinner beer or coke Included. Very happy here and would advise to book club lounge. Pool. Great service with free of charge towels. Pool clean and ok. Beach: sun beds good and enough of them. We always found enough which is great in peak season. A bit unusual: heavy music from competing loudspeakers from left and right. Bring your own headphones. All in all: staff very friendly and helpful. Room great price value for a family. Beach good enough. Location: plenty of taxis at low cost but a bit time consuming. More 4.5 star than 5 star.had a good stay. Great New Years party in pool area - but add another 900 EUR for the evening which was rebated on complaint for the price from 1500EUR. Living in a high cost country like Norway we were astonished about the dream prices.. As long as tourists are conscious about what to expect pricing wise around New Year .... if you have not been in Dubai .... Habtoor Grand is a great choice traveling with children/teenagers due to excellent price value but on a high cost level. Helpful? Thanks for a helpful vote.

First impression of entrance/reception wasn’t great if I’m honest however, lovely hotel friendly attentive staff and great location. The Underground pub food was delicious and the food in the Grand Grill on NYE was beautiful we thoroughly enjoyed our stay for New Year wish we had a few more days.

Checked in to the hotel and was given the most basic category room, upon check in was ensured would try and upgrade the room the next day. I checked with the fornt desk on the 3rd day, after checking the club rooms were being sold. However the hotel refused to change the room. Disappointing to see how the room controller can not assist the front desk on honouring guest entitlements. No email sent pre arrival either to check on time of arrival or any special needs. First time experiencing this as a platinum member, evidently the hotel is not bothered about loyal guests. Sad to see this happen. Better to stay at the Le royal meridien next door, they write to you and upgrade rooms even prior to check in.

Like last year this was a Perfect holiday and hotel. All the staff couldn't do anymore for us if we were royalty.. they were just brilliant. The guest relations staff were so perfect it was worth going just to be with the staff, I also want to mention the pool staff , there were also brilliant, everyone gave 110% to make the holiday as good as possible. We want to go somewhere new for Christmas in 2018 but it's going to be very difficult not to go back again..and we probably will. Thanks to everyone at the Habtoor Grant Resort Hotel for a very enjoyable Christmas holiday. Regards Kevin.
