It's a very old hotel. It doesn't allow guests as the management might think It is not possible to have friends of the opposite genre that are just friends. I will stay with Internationally branded ones (e.g. Marriott, Wyndham, etc) to avoid this clashes in policies. Their rooms smell bad and the air conditioning is noisy. The staff was not friendly. The only positive aspect is the location in downtown but there are lots of hotels around as well.

Great location in central Dubai near the mall of Dubai and the Burj Khalifa. The hotel is a tall skyscraper and our room was humongous!

A big variety for the breakfast. Very nice staff. Very convenient location.

To walk you through, I booked this place in a rush, which was the first of many mistakes. The beds were hard the bathrooms were dingy at the edges like an old New York apartment. THE BED!! HORRIBLE. Worst bed I've ever slept on in my entire life. The positive is that it's close to the Dubai mall via taxi or metro( beware when you actually metro it's a lot of walking to get to the mall on top of the walking you will already do) . At the $120-150 price point you should book somewhere else.

This a nicely located hotel, rooms are reasonable size and clean, staff are helpful, there is provision for water, coffee and tea, the buffet breakfast has lits of choices for cold and hot food. I will rstrongly ecommend this hotel.

I enjoyed staying in Emarates Grand hotel, in the same street starbucks, restaurants, open 24 hours. Thank you

Good location, not so comfortable. The amenities were ok. Staff was ok.

I traveled to Dubai with some family and we had a great time. This hotel is very well situated, close to restaurants and public transportation (which we used daily). The pool area is nice and relaxing. Staff is very attentive. Their travel desk help arrange a last minute tour for us on what was considered a holiday. Would recommend and stay again.

Location is great, facilities are great and ALL the staff, regardless of position, is wonderfully friendly and helpful. Great experience at a very good price. Would stay here again without question!

Pros: good location, spacious room Cons: incompetent employees. When we arrived, the receptionist told us that breakfasts were included in the room rate, but then when we checked out, the hotel told us that the receptionist made the mistake and we had to pay big money for the breakfasts. A lot of frustration ... I don't want to say that the hotel tricked us to use and pay for the breakfasts, but at least their staffs could have done better.

I love the VIP treatment they gave me.. Its a place to be

The hotel is the heart of the city - walking distance to the Metro station (Financial Center) and one stop away from the Dubai Mall. Hotel came with a kitchenette - microwave, fridge, utensils etc which was very helpful with kids.

Good size room, clean, overall a decent hotel but the mattress was a bit hard

despite the short stay, it was so comfy and relaxing

I have been to this hotel and I enjoyed it very close to train station , very clean wide rooms , comfortable in almost all means

The rooms are very spaceous and very clean. The location is excellent within a two minute walk to the metro station.' The 43 floor restaurant is unforgiveably BAD. Powdered reconstituted soup, Frozen pre-prepared food like at a cheap Chinese buffet in the USA. The view from the restaurant is nice which make this a terrible waste of good real-estate. Elevators are a mess. It is some kind of goofy computerized system where you enter your floor on a key-board outside the lifts. Then you wait and wait as other lifts pass by your floor and you long to get on them. Internet is slow - only most basic email uses workable. Over-all, very good hotel for the money
