Stayed in this hotel during Ramadan for just a short staycation and it was indeed a relaxing staycation as it is very quiet and relaxing. No hustle, no noise from the city! Everything you need for a perfect staycation is just a walking distance (pool, gym, bar, restaurants, McDonald's, shops, convenience stores, banks, etc.)
Relaxing point Hotel is connected to a shopping aracde, self parking option, it's my third stay finally got nice room thanks to Paulo DM for his assistance, perfect place to stay if you wanna be away from city noise !!!
Having lived in the Green Community for several years I had never been in the bar in the Marriott basically as it was full of smokers. Now cleaned up and smoke free we visited and had a nice evening ordering pizza. Food was good and decor and ambience bar like. It did get a little rowdy as the evening went on mainly with people coming home from work and meeting for a drink and a catch up but not too bad, after all it is a bar. We will visit more frequently now as it is in walking distance.
I had a tedious course to attend near the Maktoum airport and this was the hotel I was booked in. My family was with me there. This hotel provided good, free transportation to the Ibn Batuta mall and Mall of Emirates which was really convenient for them as I was busy during daytime. Importantly the breakfast was excellent and room service highly efficient. Very good room service as my child would scatter things but would find all her toys. Had a classic Choitrams store in the complex which was great. Highly recommend the lake view.
It is the little things that make it count. And that where this otherwise lovely hotel fails. First and foremost, the staff are amazing. They are friendly, forthcoming and absolutely an asset to the hotel. Here are the few things that bothered us during the stay: I arrived around 19.00 hours, accommodation was not ready. Which is a bit surprising as I booked a premium room category, they had my flight details and arrival time. I booked on the Marriott webpage a 'Suite'. On arrival, it was nothing more than an oversized room. I asked the reception if they gave me the correct room type, which they confirmed. I asked for a 'normal' room in that case and to pay less, as this was definitely not a suite and did not fir the purpose. I asked them why this room type is sold as a Suite; apparently this is the Marriott way. I asked the receptionist to look up the definition of a Suite; which google et all confirm is at least two rooms (a bed room and a living room). I don't think they will change the description if this is really the Marriott way, as many guests probably pay for what they don't get. On two consecutive days, the TV remote did not work. On the second day, it took them so long to replace the same that we actually checked-out before it happened. And I waited for an hour. Breakfast was good, a limited selection in my opinion but the price was only AED 110; so for the price it was ok. The Fish & Chips at their 'Neighbourhood' restaurant I do not recommend. Fries were almost cold when served and cooked in old oil judging from the color (...and my experience as a Chef). The batter of the fish was tasteless and did not add flavour to the dish. But again, superb and attentive service. What I can recommend are the Pizza's; they are fantastic. Last but not least, the Internet. Not only was it terribly slow; they are still charging to use the internet. Come on - in this day and age? Put $5 on the room rate and give it for free. And if I pay for it, at least make sure that it works and is fast. Would I come and stay at this lovely hotel again? Yes, because of the staff and their attitude. Would I recommend it? Probably not.
We visited this hotel trying to break the routine and wishing for a change... I would say it was a very smart choice. Don't expect to have valley parking, but it shouldn't be a problem as parking is available 1 minute away from the entrance. Reception is more business. but nice, and people are so helpful, so happy to help, very welcoming and friendly. Lobby is mixing with the lounge, but its smart and nice, you will have a lot of spaces where you can sit for a chat with friends, ambiance is so nice... We spent two days celebrating our anniversary, room was nice, view is on the lake, floor is calm so baby was happy to sleep like an angel when needed... room service is nice too. Spending a day on the pool was lovely, although its a little bit small, but its more than enough, and not crowded AT ALL, Sobo poolbar guys also offer help any time... Pool at night is OUTSTANDING, they let you swim late, with lots of romantic lights... At night we had dinner at their Italian restaurant, and then had a walk around the lake, reached the adjacent and connected shopping center where I had an unplanned Haircut :P and then we bought stuff for the baby from choitrams . over all - the team is amazing, the place and neighborhood is outstanding for a place which is within Dubai. You wont need your car for as long as you stay, as everything is few lovely steps (around the lake)away.
It's was my pleasure to visit the courtyard dubai. I felt it's like my home, especially the front desk staff and the securities. But I went to Bar and they behaved me like not in a good way especially when I ask for discount.
Good view, good service and friendly staff. Room's view faced to lake so it was so peacefully for relaxing time. Hotel's location was near a mall so it is so convenient if you need to buy something. And also it is so amazing that they have green garden between Dubai which have known by hot and dry dessert.
Everything about this Courtyard by Marriott is fairly standard. The staff are always friendly & helpful. Amenities include bars, restaurants, a small shopping mall, poolside cocktails & the standard options you might find at any similar hotel. The area is quiet & out of the way, nestled nicely between Abu Dhabi & Dubai...
