Hotel is located in the middle of the old town. Hotel has many night clubs within the property. Russian, Arabic and Indian clubs. And a rooftop pool cafe starts at 3 am and until sunrise. Breakfast is very basic. rates are very reasonable.
Bathrooms are dirty, room isn't properly cleaned. It's 12:34am, I have to be up early tomorrow and been awake since 7am! The music in your club is too loud, to the point I can hear it in my room! Rude staff on the phone! I'm checking out tomorrow, not staying one more day!
I have been staying here for 12 years . It’s almost a home for me . Entertainment is excellent . Service mediocre , rooms need to be upgraded . Staff are all excellent. The general manager is the sweetest person I have ever seen in this industry , who sets an example for his staff by personally greeting all guests , over all excellent and good value for money .
I spent 3 days at the hotel. Room size was big, but the bathroom was very old, bed sheets had a bad smell. Reception girls were not friendly. Room service was good. Location of the hotel is very good. At the end , i won't book again at capitol hotel.
I have visited Capitol Hotel several times during the year, I love the location and the services and the friendly atmosphere, check in and check out was just very quick and the staff were polite and helpful
If one has came Dubai for fun with limited budget. this is the right place to be. Had been there in June last year - we paid 500 dirhams for whole week, Near beach as well. just mind your luggage - some doggy people may be around there.
It's my second time to stay here! it's a very nice hotel with a good location Staff is great with an amazing smile all the time so helpful when you ask anything (doorman - bellman - receptionists - housekeeping) Mr. Medhat GM is great manager. Mr. Naseem FOM as well As a hotelier I recommend Byblos Capitol Hotel to anyone intend to visit Dubai Thank you all.. Best Regards
Do not stay at this hotel unless you are wanting to hire a Russian prostitute or unless you plan to stay up all night clubbing. This hotel is so shocking and certainly not worth the 4 stars. I came back to the hotel at 1 am and there were Russian prostitutes everywhere coming down the stairs from the Russian nightclub. When I got out of the taxi and tried to go toward the elevator one of the security guards stopped me thinking I was a prostitute since I was crying (I had a bad night) and clearly he didn't want me trying to actually go into the hotel. I turned around and explained to him that I'm American and not a prostitute and it's sad to think you have to go through this when staying at a "4 star" hotel. I have ear plugs since I travel a lot and I know to bring them but I could still hear the club noise all night. Once the Russian night club closes the rooftop area remains open and it is so loud up there too. At 4 am someone was banging hard on my door and I was so panicked that I called the front desk. The lady seemed confused and said "hold on." She transferred me but I have no idea who she transferred me to as no one picked up. Finally the guy stopped banging on my door but I was getting very nervous and I was so close to calling the cops. I was so disgusted about the idea of what was going on in the hotel that I didn't even want to use anything in the bathroom or lay down on the bed. It was just so horrible. Do yourself a favor and do not stay here no matter how cheap it is.
I've spent one week at Capitol hotel during a business trip in Dubai. The hotel is very good, with standard room very large, clean and well kept. Very good breakfast served at hotel restaurant. Staff is professional and friendly. Location of the hotel is good with several shops and supermarket nearby. Free wifi is available for hotel guests. Gym and SPA are available, but I didn't try. I recommend this hotel for western travellers.
Friendly staff, reasonable location, but do not expect a good nights sleep. Stayed here on two different occasions and the booming noise from the disco/restaurant can be heard throughout the hotel until well after 0200. Terrible for business travellers
