Nice hotel, good location and extra friendly staff
The Individuals at the reception desk was NOT overly helpful and put us in the wrong room after a 20-hour flight. As in other hotels I have stayed at after a couple of days the Front Desk will acknowledge and recognize you and asked how your day was, however, no such service came from the reception desk even when needing assistance with making calls. The only redeeming factor was the concierge Mr. Fuwad this 5 star is mainly because of his attentiveness and helpfulness. He does a GREAT JOB. The service staff in the restaurant where breakfast is served did a great job. The breakfast was top notch, tasty with a good variety. 5 Star for the food. Room was clean. Excellent location if you want to get a LOCAL flavor. Most stores and restaurants are within walking distance. Overall i would stay there again.
Very clean, staff friendly hotel. The food and bar weren't so great but I enjoyed my stay. I would recommend this hotel to others as it is reasonable. If you stat here make sure you have plenty of transportation money.
The lobby is nice, but the rooms are terrible. the drapery is old and tattered and sunburnt. housekeeping is terible. had to call to have my bed made properly and the floor cleaned, bathroom was not cleaned either. An update is really meeded of the room interior. They were scanty with towels...had to keep requesting. wsas only given one towel per day...this is not in keeping with a 5 star hotel. The restaurant staff were mostly very friendly and welcoming, especially Sam on the afternoon shift. the bellmen were friendly as well. front desk was a bit aloof'.
Very good experience at this hotel for a brief one night stay. Close to the airport which was important for this trip.
The hotel is very easy to find, and it is located near a Metro station. Lots of good restaurants around the neighborhood too.
We had a great experience at this hotel. It is a little bit far afield from some of the major attractions of Dubai, but those are easily reachable by metro and relatively inexpensive taxi. The hotel room itself was large and very well-appointed. The staff was very helpful. The one downside is that they didn't know much about tours and excursions, and tried to push private cars on us to transport us everywhere, even though taxis and/or public transport was cheaper.
We were not able to get the room we requested (2 beds) but we got an upgraded King Suite which was very, very spacious and that made all the difference in our 5 day stay. The buffet dinner in the hotel restaurant was a huge disappointment.

With regards to the point your raised about TV channels, although we usually show the European channels due to a majority of request from guests of the Spectators Sports Bar, we also have American sports channels such as the NBA.
