Today at the Ritz Carlton DIFC I survived a nightmare situation with my phone thanks to the hotel's Banquet team; Jitendra in particular. When some water damage messed up my phone screen, Jitendra quickly helped me get things in order when I asked for a bowl of rice and a wrap to fix my phone. He also called one of the hotel's engineers, Mahmoud, to help remove the phone's battery. I am impressed by the high level of attention paid to guests by the team, especially because I used to work at a front desk myself and I know that all hotels don't match this level. Salute to the Ritz Carlton DIFC team! Thanks for helping me fix my phone!
Highly recommended hotel for business travel in Dubai (especially in the DIFC). Loved their breakfast buffet and terrace. The location of the hotel is excellent. An easy access to the offices at gate village DIFC. Around the hotel are some of the best restaurants in Dubai. The rooms are okay. Ask for a room with a balcony/terrace.
The Ritz Carlton Dubai is at the same time a world class business hotel and a personalized dessert oasis for rejuvenation. In the heart of the financial district in Dubai it provides access to meetings and premier restaurants and sites to see while also allowing you days of restoration and relaxation in its spa, internal dining facilities and excellent exercise spot. Best of all its people are exquisitely atuned to personalized service and extend themselves non-stop in an authentic caring for each client.
This is a top-class hotel, especially if you are doing business in DIFC. Good points: - Service is exceptional. The staff are knowledgeable and accommodating (e.g., settling my bill the evening before my departure the next morning); referring to me by name; willingly providing extra chocolates and toiletries - The rooms are very high quality - the bathrooms are comically large, and everything is absolutely immaculate and just how you'd want it to be. Large rainfall shower heads, TVs with netflix, remote-controlled blinds - The property is ideally-located. There's a large courtyard at the entrance for taxis, and it's within walking distance of the main parts of DIFC - Breakfast at Cara is simply superb. Things to improve: - The lobby can get noisy with party groups at times, and it echoes slightly. - Access to some of the restaurants (like the Sunken garden) involves walking through some long deserted corridors of the conference centre - They could do with more cabanas and shades for the rooftop pool
This place was chosen by my 8 year old son as my birthday treat. And he chose well, if not perfectly. The service is impeccable, Dymitrio guided us in the choice of dishes and provided items that suited our quirky requirements. The t bone I chose was great, succulent and flavoursome. The sides and sauces are great too. Thank you for making a special meal with birthday desert platter.
Good hotel... comfy rooms.. practical... but and big but... avoid dealing with Egyptian receptionists... they will make your life miserable... booked for e nights and shortened to one... moved to grand hyatt for half the rate.
I attended a week long meeting at the Ritz at the DIFC. Wow - I was blown away by the incredible service, fabulous food, and amazing facility. i was upgraded because of my Marriott status to a 1 bedroom residence, which one could easily live in for a year. The bedroom was extremely comfortable and the bathroom alone was larger than a hotel room that I stayed at in London late last year. The beautifully appointed living room / kitchen gave me some much needed quiet work space. The staff remembered my name at breakfast and some of my colleagues said that after the first day they didn't have to order coffee because the staff remembered what they wanted and delivered it to the table before they could ask. The breakfast buffet was astounding in its variety and fresh flavor. I wish that I could wake up to that every day. Our lunch was similar. No matter where I was at the hotel - the outdoor bar, reception, restaurant, etc., the service was consistently flawless. I especially enjoyed sitting by the pool on the 15th floor. The staff by the door were very helpful in securing taxis and no one had their hand out for tips (although they were appreciated). I can imagine it would be even more fun to explore instead of being stuck in meetings.
I had two different experiences during my two night stay. I arrived early evening and was shown a nice comfortable room which I was told was quiet. I went over to the DIFC and returned to my room hoping for an early night having been up since 2.30am travelling. It was then that I noticed my room on the second floor was anything but quiet. It faced the DIFC and overlooked a bar/ cafe area where there was a "ladies night" where loud club music was being played. From the room the music was loud enough to be annoying and mad it difficult to concentrate while reading. I rang the front desk to ask how late this would be going on until and I was told "early morning" and that unfortunately they were fully booked and had no other rooms that they could give me as an alternative. I tried sleeping through it but i could not. I rang the front desk to complain again and to ask that my complaint be relayed to the manager but I had no acknowledgement from any body that this was done. Eventually through sheer tiredness I did get to sleep. I was able to change room the next day to one overlooking the courtyard and I did indeed have a blissful night sleep the next night. I did find the staff courteous and friendly. Had I been in that room both nights I would probably have given a five star review. However, as a business traveller with a busy schedule, a room which does not provide peace and quiet in the late evening is not acceptable. I got the impression that the music was not a one off. A hotel the quality of the Ritz should not be hit and miss like this.
This is my 2nd stay at this hotel. We had a huge group of nearly 300 plus doctors as we had arranged a conference there. The staff was more than helpful. The check in and rooms were done for us in a separate area and went absolutely smoothly. The rooms in the hotel as well as the residences were outstanding. Very clean very big and roomy. All through the 4 days we were there and during the conference the banquet team went out of their way to make it a huge success. Be it having tea and coffee and biscuits with juice the whole day. The spread out for lunch and dinner and the bar at night. No one had a single complain. During our check in Kashmira was excellent and extremely helpful. The banquet manager and reservations manager Carla and Amit as well as Ahmed in the residence reception. Not to forget all the banquet staff special mention of Neha, Indu and one more Nepali girl. And thank u to all the chefs who prepared outstanding and delicious food. The Hummus was to die for. I would recommend this hotel to everyone. Its worth more than what u pay. The breakfast spread at Cara was also outstanding. I just want to Thank all at The Ritz Carlton DIFC. I would always want to stay there.
