Ramee Guestline Hotel Apartment 20.0 out of 5.0

I've stayed here a few years ago and loved the location and having a One bedroom apartment. Stayed here recently the place has gone to seed. Bedside lamps are broken and hanging on their fixtures, cockroaches abound all over the place and they didn't do anything about it even after bringing it to their attention. Housekeeping didn't do the dishes and neither did they have the equipment like dish washing liquid etc that they provided in the past. It's a pity about this place.
We were 20 of us, 4 families and visited during Christmas time in December. Thought of taking service apartments for the convenience of all since we had kids with us. While the rooms are spacious, the services were really bad, the breakfast spread which was included in our stay was below average...same repeated menu with no quality or taste. Infact there were times when the food item fell short and they clearly said it was over. The food was not up to standards at all. The geyser in my bathroom was not working and we kept calling for someone to come and check but the front desk was not bothered. Finding cabs in Dubai is another issue specially during peak hours, again no help from the hotel, they did not have a tie up with anyone to help us get a taxi at late hours. The food across the road was much better with good options to eat. Since it was peak time, few options were available hence checking the photos online we booked the property but definitely would not want to stay here again nor recommend.
My friends and I spent a night there during the Eid holiday..as you can see the exterior of hotel wasnt that impressive but as we get in our room we were astonished with the room area...it was a studio type..everything was well equipped..They even had kitchen utensils inside the room so basically it is ideal for a family or group of friends..The room was very quiet..One thing i have noticed was the hotel dining area..it was very small and there were just 4 tables in it...my apologies for i have never taken any photo inside the room and the dining area.. Their gym was not that spacious but it was nice..👍🏼 Wifi was included but it was a bit slow.. For reservations, you can look for Grace 😊She was very helpful and friendly.
Seems like the owners/management forgot to keep up with the times. Seedy reception with helpful staff, ill-trained to handle complex bookings was the first experience. The smell of strong South Indian spices assailed my senses as I stepped out of the elevator on my floor - while I love the food but it's lingering smell in an air-conditioned environment is a putoff. The room size was large and a thoughtful half toilet next to the living room was the only redeeming factor. Advice to management: 1. Repair sagging sofas 2. Increase the # of TV channels 3. Keep the fridge clean 4. Replace the ancient electro-mechanical wardrobe lockers that need call-centre help to operate 5. Allow bath towels to be stored near the bath, not across the bathroom, I almost slipped en route 6. Inform residents the timing of the private swimming lessons you run in the pool for locals - I could only tread water while watching 3 moms & 6 kids being coached in the already cramped pool 7. Dining area access thru the gym is a bad idea
The room looked old, and unkept. The bed was very hard and it had an odd smell to it. The shower head was damaged and we didn't even have any towels when we checked into the room. The room just didn't feel clean. The only positive thing would be the room had ample space but other than that it was crap. I also think the shower area had mold but I tried to ignore it. The front desk hardly spoke english but was friendly for the most part.
The hotel is located in a residential section of Bur Dubai. The good: - It’s somewhat clean (but not overly so) - The front desk staff were friendly - It has a pool, albeit a small one on the roof that closes at 7pm and opens at 8am. - It has a gym, albeit one that is connected to the breakfast room so you have to work out while people are eating nearby. A bit off putting - It’s cheap - There's a Spinneys supermarket down the road within easy walking distance. - The rooms are large but sparse The bad: - My non-smoking room came complete with an ashtray and smoky smell. When I complained upon arrival, the porter (who spoke little English) came with a squirt bottle of orange air freshener and squirted everything, so my room smelled like a smoky orange. That was his solution. It appears the only non-smoking thing about their non-smoking rooms is that there is a non-smoker in it at the moment. Not ideal. - The hallway often smelled like wee. Then it smelled like orangey wee after the squirt bottle guy came by each day. - The bed is hard. But not completely uncomfortable. Just the hardest bed I’ve ever slept on. You could see through the threadbare sheets to the blue ticking on the mattress. That's how I knew it was not a plank of wood. - The toilet leaked. - They clean the rooms daily (sort of) but don’t try too hard. There was a bit of mould or dirt here and there. Towels not always replaced. dishes left in the sink. - It’s not close enough to the Metro that you would want to drag your suitcase to and from it. There are few taxis in the area as it’s residential. - There are two TVs but only 1 working remote. There are 4 channels with English shows, but three of them show the same thing. The Ramee is not the most horrible place I have stayed in in my entire lifetime, but it is the worst place I have stayed in a long time. It’s cheap and I suppose you get what you pay for. It's not a high quality hotel but it's not unsafe. I, for one, will pay a bit more and will stay someplace nicer next time.
That fusty smell is always in the air there, the hotel janitor to block the smell use some freshener which is worse than organic stink. I had to open windows most the times during my stay. All furniture is completed more than 3 lifetime cycle and just need to be through to garbage, change with new (TVs and refrigerator can stay). I couldn’t understand the janitors, why they keep always only one towel after cleaning? Usually it should be at least two for each toilet. They never bring additional soaps only when asking them? Probably they are looking for tips from all that behavior! Not enough parking area for those with cars. Bad area to catch a Taxi, very strong and loud AC, it is very difficult to sleep with it when on. Most guests Asian families, usually cooking foods with strong smell of garlic, chili and other curry. The hotel prices policy is high through internet booking, it is better to bargain a deal with the reservation Manager.
Hi there, I stayed in this hotel after an awful stay in another hotel in Bur Dubai. I really appreciated the stay Ramee Guestline Htoel Appartments. The staff were friendly and helpful. The appartments were really big. Always clean. Nothing to say besides that it was a good value for money. I will definitely go back there.

It's as basic as accommodations get, but we chose to spend are money on all the fun that Dubai has to offer!! Clean space and sheets everyday. The staff was quick to any request. Close to a supermarket and lots of restaurants and also just blocks away from the train station to take you into the city. Highly recommended if visiting on a budget.
