JA Jebel Ali Beach Hotel

We stayed here in the Easter holidays - the weather was just perfect, warm enough to never need a towel after a swim (though these are free and plentiful from the hotel), and not overwhelmingly busy. The staff at Jebel Ali were always helpful and courteous. To mention a few: the front reception staff (sorry can't remember your name) arranged a birthday cake for my son while we were there, and always made a point to ask if there was anything he could help with. Other staff of note were Ed, Brenda and Zu, who were supremely friendly and smiling despite their long working hours. Dang - our room attendant - dealt with any of our needs promptly too. The hotel is very clean and fresh looking. We were also confident in the cleanliness of the pools: we loved the swim up bars serving drinks and icecreams, no-one seemed to mind people holding cups whilst in the pool (and I'm pretty sure the only reason they didn't serve food was to keep the pools as clean as possible). There were plentiful numbers of loungers and places to relax. The all-inclusive option is a must as this is a very expensive destination outside of the Resort, and the vast majority of food and drink we had was included in the package. We found the food to be excellent quality and there was always a great range of themes of foods on offer, with 10 restaurants/bars you could choose from without having to pay a surcharge. The main buffet restaurant had an extensive and daily changing menu (except for the 'kid's corner' food which seemed to be chips and chicken goujons... every day!) There were only a few niggles that the hotel doesn't really have much control over which marred our stay a little: the sea is full of seaweed and spiky seashells (on the upside great for exploring sealife - we found some awesome crabs) which meant having to be careful where you swam (not much clear swimming water at all) and walked. Also there is a build in progress of a Jebel Ali 'palm' meaning you can see a massive series of concrete pillars a couple of hundred metres out to sea. All in all we had an wonderfully relaxing holiday here, found the people to be super friendly and helpful, and would recommend this as a perfect family holiday destination.

perfect location only 2 la cart restaurants available Italian and Chinese other wise there are 2 restaurants open buffet the hotel lefts needs to renovated the food at room was poor quality not recommended

The overall experience at the hotel was good I booked a garden view room!!! I was given a concrete view room instead and still paid for a garden view room !!!! I would advise to avoid booking rooms on the first floor!!!!!

The Carribean has nothing on this place. It is a piece of paradise sitting behind Dubai Port. It takes you by surprise....the band in Mushref Bar was phenomenal. Mercy helped create a surprise for my friend's birthday and it was lovely. The beach attendants were attentive and had a great sense of humor. There is great pride exhibited in this establishment and it spills over to the guests. I will return!

Excellent hotel, very clean with in huge green property, well maintained, clean beach and water, excellent food, variety of restaurants, pools and facilities. Two minor points are that with the gratuit hotel shuttle it takes 30-45 min to downtown and the view from the beach to the sea has some "optical" issues. This little points are overcompensated by the excellence and price - service relation of the hotel. We would without any doubt book this hotel again.

Had so much fun. Family with a baby. Loved the water activities , the private beach and swimming pool. Definitly going back very soon. The greatest thing about JA jebel Ali beach hotel is that its family friendly place. Keep up the good work.

Could not fault this hotel in anyway! Everything was amazing from when we arrived until we left. We did not want to leave! All inclusive package was excellent, staff were all very helpful and courteous throughout our stay. Will definitely be returning soon!

The hotel location is fantastic, old furniture and the beach wasn't clean and full of seaweed which made it impossible to swim, the pool is nice but u can order drinks only , the Captin restaurant is nice but very limited food options. Breakfast buffet is superior fresh food but unfortunately it's destroyed by rancid

Going back if we can. Amazing staff particularly in the restaurants. Fantastic food especially in the White Orchid and on Divaz boat! Great all inclusive options - one of the best of not the best I have seen. Particular thanks to the restaurant manager and his staff in the hotel's main buffet. They were like friends (Brenda) and couldn't have done more to help (I had just come out of hospital and had a special diet). Brilliant. Children had a fantastic time. Lovely pools. Beautiful beach. Water Park was lots of fun and you can also do other water sports plus sailing & fishing over with Water Cooler the company working for the hotel. Our room was perfect for our needs - close to everything - really spacious. Only a couple of niggles. The 5th floor staff were a little difficult to understand and we were still confused as to the services/amenities available etc after being checked in - it wasn't a great check in I'm afraid. Don't hide the hotel info in a drawer!! Also the housekeeping standard was a little lower than I'd expect for a 5star hotel. I had to ask for towels and toiletries enough for 4 people. Bathroom floor should have been mopped thoroughly every day. Some turndowns didn't happen, some did and some were better than others. Very clean overall though. Patio doors were slightly faulty. Still, these are very minor details to us and we very much hope to be back next year. Thank you all. Biggest tip - book your resort restaurants as soon as you can!

We stayed for 6 nights over Easter for my mum's 60th birthday celebrations and can honestly say we had an amazing time. There are so many positives for example; the all inclusive package was second to none. The quality of the food and drink available were fantastic. We particularly enjoyed shooters and the white orchid. The hotel facilities were great plenty of pools, beds and bars available to keep everyone happy. Although comments have been made saying the hotel is dated and tired I didn't really feel this way I thought the rooms and common areas were modern and clean. The staff as mentioned in previous reviews work so hard and are always happy to help. I would definitely return but do feel a couple of tweeks would make the difference for example; Making one of the pools adults only, I feel this would make the hotel more appealing to both families and people preferring a child free holiday. There is already the adults only bar on the 7th floor which was brilliant and so extending it to the pool area would be a great addition. Going in school holidays couldn't be avoided but creating a quiet adults area would be preferred. Service around the lobby needs to be improved, several times we sat down and wanted to order a drink and either no one was around or the ladies at the entrance to the buffet stood around chatting meaning we had to approach them to order a drink (I saw other guests having to do the same also) When ordered it would then take about 15 minutes to actually receive the beverage which was disappointing. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our time at Jebel Ali and would highly recommend.
