We didn’t have the opportunity to stay, got to Dubai for an overnight layover on February 27, on February 28 we were headed to Egypt and had our flight cancel, that’s when the nightmare started, airport closures, and we had to cancel all our vacations, our destination was Egypt, Jordan, Israel and out final destination Dubai from March 11-14
Since we couldn’t go no where, and we were in Dubai already, we try to move out staying dates, I send the requested through Orbitz (Expidia), pass a few days and had an email from Orbitz with hotel not responding, we decided to take the drive and go to actual hotel, the hotel totally washed his hands saying that because we book through a third party, Orbitz has to requested the change, I explain, they had try and hotel never responded to them, they told me, we can make the switch if you pay again directly to us, and you can get your refund from Orbitz, how they want me to pay over 5k, trusting them I would get my money back from Orbitz? The only thing we want it to do was coming back home and be safe, but try to take advantage of the situation while we were stuck in Dubai, they denied the change and expected me to pay again, a few days later, got an email from Orbitz, saying hotel refuse the change of dates, by the time, we manage to get a flight back home
From all other bookings, and flights we got our money back except Atlantis
The most expensive hotel and refused to change the dates, I would fight it though my card
