I was reprimanded for not calling to advise we would be checking in late (10:15 pm or so), even though I’m sure I said that when booking. We had to ask kitchen staff for ice (no machine), and did not get housekeeping. Rooms are dated and in need of a handyman, but otherwise seemed clean enough

The motel had cancelled our room leaving us without options in the town. We had chosen the option of paying at the motel upon arrival when we booked well in advance. The motel seeing the opportunity to get more for the room cancelled our room without notification. We had to drive 80 km to find another room. Very frustrating and poor practice on the part of the motel. They tried to blame it on Expedia but this was not the case.

Was a good spot for the night. Didn't try the restaurant. Close to the museum and other activities we wanted to see. Excellent and very friendly staff. Cleaners used are very strong, it overtakes the entire room. So if you are scent sensitive, you'd have problems. It's an older property and it shows but it's a quiet place for a good sleep.

Ok staff were great. The room smell was horrible. Dirty/ Musty? The air unit was full of dust, the walls has spider webs and bugs, the light unit in the centre of the room was FULL of flies, I kept that light off because it was so unnerving. I had wet wipes and went over the places I had to touch and literally left the unit cleaner when leaving. Not sure what I was expecting but this wasn’t great. Will camp outside next time.

Carpet was filthy. Blind was broken by the bathroom. Poor quality maintenance. When I found the bug they did immediately come and check the room. And the refunded my fee for the night and I went to another motel. Motel grounds need work to make it clean and welcoming.

Pros: Bed was really comfortable and the location was great for getting to the Royal Tyrrell Museum. The staff seemed to be very helpful and welcoming. Cons: The bathroom in particular could do with a makeover (my tap handle kept coming off) and the AC unit didn’t seem to work - I didn’t really need it so I’m sure the friendly staff would have sorted it if I had asked! There was a note on the front desk about a particular fly - I didn’t read in full (in hindsight I probably should have as I did have bite marks on my sleeping side in the morning….)

I love the location and the views, but the rooms need some updating. The carpet was heavily stained, and I did not feel comfortable taking my shoes off. The same goes for the doors. We left earlier than we planned.

Upon arrival, my room was given to someone else. Took awhile to find me a vacant room. Once I entered there was someone working on repairs and painting. The room had little privacy as the blind was broken, carpet was dirty and stained, bath mirror falling off the wall. I took pictures.

I paid the pet fee and $100 deposit, didn’t use their linens, pet does not go on furniture, and they took $100 deposit and I said I wanted it back. I took photos. The place was spotless when I left. And they kept my $100. That is theft and the owner swore at me when I called twice politely to work it out and get my deposit back. Terrible and illegal. THEFT!!! I will be calling authorities.

It is an old motel. Taps did not work properly. Chipped sink and tub. Lights flickered constantly after being on for awhile fridge solidity froze the water bottles . Room was clean but overwhelming Lysol smell even on second day. Restaurant good food but pricey.
