Nice facilities with small kitchenette. Free and safe parking. Good and free Wi-Fi. Excellent choice if you want to spend one night. Beautiful garden. Friendly and helpful staff. Very close to hotel you can find supermarkets and shops.
Close to highway and suitable for 1 night. Cheap. Bed reasonable. Bathroom mwah. Toilet water keeps running. They put a piece of wood to support the bathtub! Next to the hotel is a huge construction site. During weekdays this will give a lot of noise. Opposite the road is a soccer stadion. So busy on saterday. Close to small shopping centre. Close to Mac Donalds and a other restaurant grill. Breakfast reasonable
Stayed at this budget hotel one night. Unfortunately the hotel is a bit worn down and lacks cleanliness. The carpet on the floor was badly stained, the shower heads were calcareous and the toilet also had calcareous deposits. A simple renovation of bathrooms and a change of carpet would do a lot of good to this place. The breakfast buffet for 8€ was nothing special either! Nevertheless, the staff was very nice, welcoming and helpful!
If this hotel was cleaned properly it would be great! Unfortunately the hall and room carpets were very badly stained. Not sure what did this but you could see the wheel marks of suitcases that had been wheeled through - whatever it was - all the way up and down the hallway. The room was no better, really badly stained carpet. The room was otherwise very clean incidentally. Maybe it was a flood of water at some point? Whatever, the receptionist was extremely nice and very helpful. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and we had a great sleep. Well located near a large shopping complex (2 minutes walk).
For a stopover, this was a bargain. It is dated, but has everything needed and it had a secure parking lot which is what we wanted as we were moving and had a car full of our things. We also had our small dog along which was only an extra 5 euros per day. Depending which direction you come in from, it is quite close to a major commercial shopping street and chain restaurants but if you turn the other way, it becomes undesirable quite quickly. I wouldn't recommend going out by foot alone at night. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
No air conditioning on one of the hottest days on record. Stopped for one night en route from Barcelona to Switzerland. Got a bit lost and the neighbourhood is quite dodgy looking, which explained the fenced parking lot. Had a single room with single bed. Bed was fine, but they only had a thick quilt on the bed. Definitely need some seasonal bedding! No screens on the window. Carpets were filthy. Breakfast was ok for 8euro. Had a shower hose, but nothing to hang it on, so it was a bit awkward. Would not have felt comfortable as a solo female traveller, but was with a colleague, so was ok.
The room I stayed in was ok but needed updating. There was no fixing on the wall for the shower head and the bathroom needed a good scrub. The kitchenette was useful. Parking is secure in so much as there is a fence and a code operated gate but the area looked very run down. There is a large shopping centre nearby with a couple of restaurants. The reception staff were very helpful. Didn't have the breakfast but its not overly expensive at only 3 euros. Easy access from the motorway. Wouldn't stay here again.
Our choice of accomodation in Valence was limited due to the high level of guests applying for rooms at this time so we selected Hotel Cerise on a "at least it looks ok " basis. Located close to the centre of Valence, hotel cerise is a gated accomodation facility. Situated within a large shopping centre on the north east side of the N86 the clean hotel was not hat easy to locate. Our GPS became confused as the driveway to the gated opening was actually part of the shoppng car park. Once inside we found the rooms were adequate with heating, and individual washing facilities. The TV was local and thus did not include any English speaking channels. The food for breakfast was typical French but there was sufficient quantities for all to even make a mid morning snack as well.
On arrival, the floor in the entrance hall was sticky - not a good welcome! The first room we were offered was dirty, carpet filthy, kitchen bits missing and bedding dirty. Dirty marks up the walls. Smelt bad. Empty medicine dispenser and crushed biscuit in wardrobe! Smelt of smoke and window open - presumably to reduce smell of smoke. Requested move to another room. This was only slightly better. Still dirty, smelly and lacking some of the kitchen basics. Requested more pillows but this was denied as the room was "complete". Asked for clean pillowcases and these were provided but still damp and un-ironed. Towels did not appear to be replaced or if they were, they were still damp!! Altogether an unpleasant experience and would not wish to stay there again. Management failed to respond to complaints although they admitted they had knowledge of most of the problems.
Tout était très bien. Le côté kitchenette dans les chambres est un plus indiscutable. Tres agréablement surprise par le rapport qualité prix. Si je repasse à Valence, j'y retournerai sans hésiter. À garder !
