The property was very clean and well maintained! Loved the campfire at night and the alpacas and fishing during the day. Staff was excellent!
The hotel double booked our room and called us at 10 am to tell us we did not have a room for the night! They did offer us a place down the road due to their mistake but it was a huge inconvenience. The replacement cabin was ok, but not nearly as nice. Very very disappointed in Camp Lucy! We have never experienced such poor customer service. Beware!!!!
There are many activities to do at camp Lucy which you will see when first arriving. Then theres the amazing home made breakfast each morning. The staff is super friendly and the rooms are spotless. The cost of an average room there is competitive with that of nearby hotels but the staff, the sights, the things to do, and the rooms (which are really modern) make camp Lucy far better than any of the surrounding hotels.
The grounds and rooms are beautiful. We had an medical emergency so we had to leave early but we look forward to our stay next time. The only drawback is there is no pool or restaurant on site but that will be changing soon from what we were told. The customer service was amazing!
Such a cute property. We stayed in the regular cabin, although next time I'll pay up for the deluxe with the balcony. We had smores at night, free breakfast in the morning, went to feed the fish and hung out with the alpacas. For a family road trip from Dallas, this place was perfect. Would definitely go back.
The staff was amazing! The units were delightful! Quite the find. The Wiseman family loved it without a doubt.
This is the first time that I have rated a hotel 5 stars across the board, but they deserve it. We stayed at Camp Lucy because we were in the process of moving from CA to TX and needed a place to stay while our belongings were in transit and utilities turned on, etc. From the moment we checked in we knew this place was something special. You can tell that all the staff love their jobs. The room we stayed in was 1 of 2 rooms in a cabin. Everything in the room was far beyond what we expected. Huge shower and separate huge stone bath tub, beautiful furniture and amenities. It was more like staying at a wealthy friends cabin than a hotel. Since we will be living in the area, we are already planning on friends and family staying here when we don't have enough room for family events.
Fantastic location for those who enjoy being away from hustle and bustle. The grounds are serene, rustic but sophisticated and chic. The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. The cottage was impeccably clean. Also, very central to local wineries and attractions. We will definitely come back.

Thank you so much for the too kind review! We are constantly reviewing and improving the resort's guest activities program. Keep checking back to see what new idea we've cooked up next. The upcoming development that we are most excited about is your fine dining restaurant, Tillie's, and our resort swimming pool. We hope you come back to check it out!

Vickie, You are not the first person to want a pool and restaurant at Camp Lucy. After several months of planning and construction, we are pleased to announce that a new luxury pool and fine dining restaurant will be open by the middle of September. We hope you return to check out these two new additions!
