Spent one night here for the second time and was not disappointed at all. Staff was very friendly, got an upgrade as gold member. Room was big and quiet as it was located at the highest level. For sur one hotel to be recommended in Dresden. Convenient location for sightseeing.
This hotel was interesting, to say the least. The room design with sliding glass doors to the toilet and completely glass showers with full height exterior windows was unique. Well, you know Germans and nudity...The beds were low to the floor which for me made getting in and out of the bed difficult. The design was extreme modern if you like that sort of thing. Not preferably my cup of tea. The floor corridors are dark and the room number lit. Wierd right? The Hotel is nice and modern and clean so overall very good just different if that what you're looking for.
Stayed here one night while shopping for Christmas gifts (a bit early, but that's how I roll). Location wise it's great, very close to the main train station and close to all the shops. It has an underground parking which is a plus too. The hotel is big and a bit impersonal, we were unfortunate to get six large bus loads full of German pensioners who came to see some musical and stayed the same night as we did. The breakfast room was so crowded we just turned around and ended up in one of the cafes on the shopping street (just we well). The twin room was tiny and the glass shower cubicle is strange too. I heard the trams on the main street through the closed windows and had to use ear plugs (I am a light sleeper, not everyone will have an issue with this). On the plus side, the location really was a winner for us and the reception staff were fantastic despite being super busy. They let us park in the garage and stored our luggage for several hours after check out.
I stayed there for one night on business. Very nice and clean hotel with a fantastic location. Was a bit strange having the shower in your bedroom, but that didn't matter. Only thing, I would love an English TV channel, ideally something like BBC News which is in many hotels in Germany.
For someone who normally stays at the Ibis, this extra starred-hotel within the Accor family felt a bit of a let down. On the plus side, the room was comfortable and there is a mini fridge and in-room safe. It is also very handy for the train station. However, check-in took half an hour (with just 2 guests in front of us) and we were just automatically given a twin room rather than a double. The bed was a too soft for my liking (that could be a personal preference) and the pillow was most uncomfortable, not to mention the odd feather that would poke through. The gym seemed a token gesture - had to give up waiting for the single treadmill that was in use. All in all, I thought you could get better value and more efficient service elsewhere for the money.
The hotel is at the start of a shopping street and is very modern. Our room had a shower in the bedroom with glass walls and a shower curtain. The room was adequate for our stay of one night but would not stay there again. At check in staff were professional and courteous but didn't really make you feel welcome - just another face they had to deal with. It is about 15 minute walk to old town which is a must see.
My favourite hotel in Dresden both because of its practical advantage (close to the main railway station and 10 mins walk to the historic area) and comfort/quality of breakfasts. Staff were friendly and efficient.
Came here on a business trip, only a 2 day stay, the hotel is just 5 minutes walking distance away from the Dresden Central Train Station. Came late at night, the reception staff was extremely friendly and helpful, during check in and during check out. The rooms are modern and look new, the room had a nice view to the prager Str. The bed was really comfortable and the pillows too. There were enough toilettries available in the room as well as a safe with an electricity socket inside. Didnt have the oportunity to try the food as there were enough restaurants nearby. A nice 15 minutes stroll to the river walking on the pedestrian street. It was a nice experience and would totally recommend this hotel.
Hotel is nicely located in down town, but everything from my perspective only average. Very smaal rooms, not very comfortable. Just enough for bussiness trip, however nothing special. Not very helpfull reception.
I scored a room on the 11th floor with a full glass wall looking out towards the Altstadt. View to die for. Other than that, nothing special, in the sense that this is a fairly upmarket Accor brand and everything fitted with that. It was clean, comfortable and everything worked. Staff friendly and efficient. What's not to like?
