This is an all glass building and consequently the windows are floor to ceiling so if you look down into the market square, remember that you are also clearly visible, should anyone wish to look up! We were part of a large Trafalgar group so check in was done for us. It seems a nice enough hotel, with carpeted corridors and rooms. However, the bathing stalls have glass on three sides, so if you are planning on sharing the room with someone who is not family, bear in mind that the curtains are operated from outside the bathroom cubicle - there is no dedicated bathroom. The bed (s) is comfortable enough although the room is a wee bit narrow. The air conditioning is not really what you would expect - it does not have the ability to chill the rooms and the large windows don't help. Good enough hotel in the middle of Dresden. Go for it.
Overnight Stay from Train station. Really enjoyed the location. Easy walk from Train Station. Rented hotel bikes and checked out the beautiful city. Very friendly service, very clean and great view. I upgraded room and it was very modern.
This is an excellently designed, modern and comfortable hotel, but I felt I had landed on another planet when I arrived (on my bicycle) this week. I’m a middle-aged Englishman and I like to chat and banter at Reception, but it was as if this style of behaviour is something unknown in Saxony. My welcome was efficient and correct but utterly charmless, cold, incurious, humourless and unfriendly. Even the young man who checks the breakfast rights of guests in the restaurant is monosyllabic and unresponsive. A great hotel in many ways, but cold and curt. I wouldn’t return.
our next city after Brussels was Dresden , during planed the trip i was happy to find out that Pullman have a hotel in Dresden and said it located in city center and near to old town i checked the google maps and it showed the hotel very closed to central station after happy stayed at Pullman MIDI Brusells , i looked forward to have another good stay in Pullman Dresden but it seem this hotel will be my 1st Pullman's hotel with below Pullnan's standard It started the moment i open the door , i amazed to see that the bed only provide 2 pillow - although when i check in the front desk the man said as platinum member i got upgrade room to DELUXE room (our room was 9th floor) , i simply call and ask for 1 more pillow - the bed is OK but the blanket was given 2 set and a bit heavy ( 1000 gram feather comforter ) the next suprise was when at nite i tried to find a cattle for make a hot water for tea , and i could not find it - again i call the reception and they said the room not have a cattle , i simply ask can i borrow one for the room , the answer : yes but there will be a deposit of Euro 35 , 10 min later my cattle deliverd to my room. the 3rd surpise was on 2nd day evening i found out that the house keeping did not re suply and add the shower gel and shampoo , but i thought it was a human error but i happen again on 3rd day and i walk to the house keeping asking for 2 shower gel but he said the only got 1 bottle left ( ???? ) i might take wrong as he did spoke little english but i hardly believe the house keeping did not resupply every day the shower gel and shampoo the 4rd surprise was when my wife complained about the wifi, then i turn on my handphone to wifi ( i prefer to use vodafone 4G since it cost euro 15 for 1GB ), then i should agree to my wife how slow the wifi - it was very slowed then my wife asked me why we have not got any gift and welcome card from the hotel as platinum member , which did not happend until we checked out but how could i asked to the manager why the hotel did not send a greeting and gift to us then i finally checked the Pullman Dresden's review on trip advisor and found out the all the surprise were mention in the review and been responded by the hotel management as well ( i should do it before i stayed - but my loyalty and trust to Pullman stop me check the review ) i"ve been stayed at 10 pullman's hotels in last 1-2 year and i most said i am very happy with Pullman standard until i experience the stay at Pullman Dresden , even their Novotel and Grand Mercure standard were better how could a luxury hotel like Pullman provide 2 pillow ( even at lowest category room )while mostly provide 4 pillows - not to mention about the cattle in the room which is a standard for a luxury hotel ( they did asked me to bring the cattle when i checked out to the front desk ) on location ,Pullman was near old town but Pullman is the further accors hotel (1km)from old town , in fact the best position is Ibis Budget which located at Altmart Galerie , from there all is within 50-200m walking ( the hop on hop off stop , the mall , the old town ,the restaurants ) , while from Pullman that would be 1 km to postplatz ( the hop on bus stop ) and 1,4km to Frauenkirche , 600m to Karstadt dept store , but it will nice walk as long not raining and temperature below 30" i am also Spite Elte member and just found out that they do have a very good location hotel in Old Town of Dresden . i just wish during checked out the front desk ask me how is the stayed , which they did not asked me - but the guest on other desk was asked that question i am writing this review a day after i check out from Pullman Dresden on another Accor's hotel in Germany but with totaly diffrent standard ( a much better one ) which i will send the review after my stay in 3 days
Stayed here as a group traveller with a tour. The location was excellent being situated amongst shops and a good choice of restaurants and cafes. A very easy 10 minutewalk took you into the Old Town to enjoy the history of Dresden. The room was okay, not overly big but the bed was comfortable and we had great views of the city. shower was an unusual arrangement but we were told of this prior to arrival. Limited toiletries supplied. wifi available.
Very nice room, good view to the city. But counter staff are not so helpful as compare to the one at Ibis. Did not inform me how to use wifi in the hotel until I asked. The key to the room is deactivated before 12 pm of check out time.
We stayed on the 14th floor with a view on the old city centre. Floor to ceiling windows allow for a great view. The room and bathroom were big. Really enjoyed the room. Breakfast was good and offered some variety. Many business people stayed at the hotel, so it got crowded in the morning. Transport links are all close, tram 11 behind the hotel takes you to the centre.
The hotel's location is excellent: it's next to the railway station and close to Dresden Old Town. I stayed a night on the 13th floor. The view from the room was great, although top floors are not the best option for acrophobics. My room was modern and very clean. The breakfast is also great and versatile, lot's of quality options to choose from. The hotel staff is friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed my stay!
Located in the shopping area. Clean. Bathroom is really nice, although it's not extremely private if going with someone. View from the rooms is really cool, so upper floor rooms are recommended. 10 minute walk from the river.
Was at the NEWA hotel for 1 night, after a meeting had lot of fun to go around and see the old town and its fascinating facilities! The walk from the hotel is short and pleasant with lot of bars and restaurants around! The hotel itself was nice, the staff friendly and helpful! Just the 21 EURO for the car parking was a bit too much in my opinion... Would come back again as overall it was good!
