Single level villa set in a beautiful garden of 6,300 m2 with mature oak and olive trees, at walking distance (only 600 meters) from the perched medieval village of Flayosc with its many shops, restaurants and bars.
With 4 bedrooms; master bedroom with French windows leading to the terrace and en suite shower room with WC, second bedroom facing north and third bedroom facing west, a second shower room, 1 separate WC, spacious sitting room with fireplace, wooden beams and dining area, well-equipped kitchen and utility room with washing machine..
Large covered terrace overlooking a flat lawn and pool area with a large private swimming pool (12m x 5.5m & between 3m & 1.5m deep). Double carport just next to the house.

The property is private - but far from being isolated.
An ideal setting for a family or a group of friends sharing their holiday.

The Area: The area: Situated 0.5 km from the centre of Flayosc, 5 kilometres west of Draguignan, 1 hour from Nice Airport. Only 40 min away from the sandy beaches of the St. Tropez bay and the dramatic scenery of Gorges de Verdon. Perched medieval villages, olive mills, wine tasting and first class gourmet restaurants. There are 15 challenging golf courses within an hour's drive. There are plenty of nice countryside walks near the house.

Flayosc: Flayosc: The village Flayosc is the perfect location to relax and enjoy the beauty of Provence, only 40 minutes away from the busy tourist spots of the coast. The village offers excellent shops for food, a weekly market, pharmacy, bank, several bars and restaurants, laundry/dry cleaner and wine cooperative. It also has a tourist office offering excellent information about the area.

Flayosc

Grounds beautiful, good sized pool although does need some tlc. Inside everything you need but again some tlc needed and some extra storage.Overall we had a lovely holiday.

A Beautiful Villa in Provence

We loved the authenticity of Les Sauterelles. It is simple in a slightly old fashioned way which was perfect, all mod cons and marble kitchen work surfaces would not work here. We had everything we needed and the setting, pool and location were stunning. Thank you

Good, well laid out, and a comfortable base

Really enjoyed our stay here. As Trevor warned, there's always a few things to be fixed, but everything worked well enough. We never saw the gate close itself automatically, so we just manually shut it when we weren't going out for the day. The villa was clean, comfortable, and had everything you need, and the pool and gardens were lovely. Everyone was on hand and available if we needed it, though we really didn't have anything needing doing. Trevor's notes are very helpful, and cover almost everything you need to know - wish other villas did this. We found the front door quite stiff, but tended to use the exit from the utility room anyway. The only thing that could have been better was meeting Florence during the stay, as she could have saved us time pointing out things, Trevor's notes made it easy enough though. She couldn't make it when we arrived, and we did waste a few minutes when we first arrived, the house was locked up, and I hadn't seen a note come through on my phone telling me where the key was, until I got it out to phone her. Other than that, one of the most relaxing holidays we've had. Flayosc is pleasant and walkable, Draguigan and its supermarkets, restaurants close too, though they were still digging it up when we were there.. If you like markets though, you can't beat the one in Lorgues. Our satnav sent us through some tiny lanes on the way there from Nice, which was OK once we got used to driving in France again, but Trevor's suggested route is much more sensible after a long day's travel, so I recommend using that to anyone getting used to their hire car. Would definitely book again, when we decide to go back to the region.

A comfortable house with lovely garden and view, and wonderful pool.

We liked the characterful house very much, and loved the secluded garden with its beautiful views, but the glorious pool was really wonderful in the hot days of August. We enjoyed a very relaxing holiday, reading in the shade of the trees around the garden, eating on the terrace and visiting some of the nearby villages; a trip to Grimaud and Port Grimaud was also great fun. Air conditioning in the sitting room and one of the bedrooms was a great blessing as the temperatures soared. Those of us staying in the smaller bedrooms struggled a bit; they were hot despite the fans. At first we found the house a bit old-fashioned, but as time went on we grew to appreciate the traditional look and decor. We would have liked to meet Florence to clear up one or two questions, but we managed in the end. I would definitely recommend this lovely holiday house with its garden and pool, especially to those who look for something comfortable and homely rather than sleek and modern. Small suggestions: a visitors' book where people can make their recommendations re: places of interest, restaurants etc, could be helpful; fresh sponges and a few rubbish sacks in the kitchen would also have been great - it took us half the week to locate the kitchen bin! We did appreciate Trevor's cheery comments and comprehensive instructions.

Gorgeous and peaceful setting with lovely views.

The villa was old but with lots of character. The pool was a great size and the garden space was perfect for us. Our young son had plenty of space to play football and run around which was part of the reason we also chose this particular villa as the outdoor space and pool were perfect for us. It would be nice if all the rooms had aircon or at least ceiling fans as good as the one in the main bedroom but this wouldn't put us off staying here again. The location was perfect and the town of Flayosc itself was absolutely lovely with shops and restaurants to choose from and only a 10 minute walk. We would definitely return here again.

Beautiful holiday home

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in your beautiful home, the house, pool and garden are beautiful. The garden has both shade and sun which was perfect for our family, and the view about the valley was just marvellous! For our wheelchair bound daughter the whole place was perfect. This was the first time we stayed in this area and in your house but we will definitely book again!! Such a lovely relaxing, homely environment and such a lot to do around and about.

Charming, peaceful and very comfortable.

We really enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend it. The villa, garden and pool area are spacious and well laid out. The setting is very tranquil with a lovely view from the end of the garden. The villa is charming, comfortable and well-equipped (the wi-fi and home entertainment options especially). We particularly liked breakfast outside gazing at the view, dipping into the pool on sun-baked afternoons and the spacious living room with large comfortable sofas, perfect for family time watching films, playing cards and games, etc. in the evening. The location is private without being isolated. The sweet little village is a short walk away for shops, bars and restaurants. Lively Draguignan and the large supermarkets, etc. are 10-15 minutes or so by car. Day excursions to spectacular sights like the Gorges du Verdon or to the coast are less than an hours drive. Trevor, the owner, was the perfect mix of welcoming, attentive and informative without being at all intrusive so we felt we were in good hands at all times. As a result, we spent a blissful and very relaxing week here. Highly recommended.

Summer vacation 2024 in Flayosc

We really enjoyed our 2 weeks summer holiday in Trevor's beautiful and quiet house. The house is aptly described with the pictures and description in the advert. The house is fully furnished and we wanted for nothing. The pool is large and spacious and was great fun. Only the mosaic tiles in the pool are often coming loose, which doesn't interfere with use but should be done in the future. Flayosc is within 15 minutes walking distance and there are two small supermarkets, cafes and bakeries for daily needs. Otherwise, the many beautiful old villages in the area are highly recommended for excursions. Aix en Provence, Cannes and Nice are also within easy reach by car or train. For questions about the property, Trevor was always promptly available via e-mail as well as the neighbour on site. Thank you very much, we would love to come back!

Mooi gelegen (gedateerde) villa

Wij hebben hier een week verbleven. De villa is licht gedateerd, met name de keuken. Voor een groep koken is echt bijna onmogelijk. De stankoverlast van de sifon in één van de slaapkamers was behoorlijk vervelend. Het zwembad is royaal maar ook gedateerd wat zich laat zien aan de loslatende tegeltjes en scheurtjes hier en daar. Verder was het er prachtig en heb je veel privacy. Indien de eigenaar hier niets mee doet, wordt de prijs- kwaliteit verhouding twijfelachtig.

Beautiful property surrounded by plenty of nature

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at Trevor's beautiful house and even managed a dip into the pool which is big enough for a proper swim and offers a great view over the countryside. The kitchen is very well stocked and great for cooking if one does not want to eat out.

Altes Ferienhaus mit Charme

Insgesamt hat uns der Aufenthalt in dem Ferienhaus gut gefallen. Es isst ein altes Haus mit viel Charme, aber entsprechend auch einigen Macken und Mängeln. Positiv: - altes großes Haus mit viel Charme - sehr großes und gepflegtes Grundstück - sehr großer und schöner Pool - Haus gut ausgestattet auch mit modernen Informationstechniken - Klimaanlage in 2 Zimmern - netter Empfangsservice, guter Kontakt per Whatsapp Negativ - Anfahrt zum Haus mit Sportwagen sehr schwierig, da unebener Feldweg; wir sind des Öfteren mit den Autos aufgesessen - Haus hat altersbedingt Mängel, z.B. Fenster und Türen schwergängig oder auch gar nicht zu öffnen - Elektrik mit zum Teil Macken; in einem Zimmer ging an einem Tag der Deckenventilator, am nächsten Tag wieder nicht - nur ein Kühlschrank bei 4 Zimmern - Klimaanlage nur in einem der Schlafzimmer - zum Teil nicht ganz sauberes Geschirr - der Pool müsste auch mal hinsichtlich der Mosaiken nachgearbeitet werden Insgesamt ein charmantes Haus in einer sehr idyllischen südfranzösischen Gegend, etwas schrullig und nicht perfekt, aber uns hat die Woche darin sehr gut gefallen.

Tasteful and complete

The house is big enough for 4 adults and 2 children; each bed room with cooling equipment. The house is nicely decorated and completely equiped and has a very nice garden surrounding the house and the swimming pool, (the latter only heated by the sun). An electric vance protects against the wild pigs visiting sometimes the area at night. Kind assistance is available. The village is nearby, very nice and has good quality shops.

Schönes Haus mit leichten Mängeln

Die Lage des Hauses, (etwas schwierig zu finden) das Grundstück, die Nachbarn alles ist prima. Leider bedarf die Küche einer Erneuerung. Das Haus selbst hat einen provencalischen Touch, was es sehr interessant macht. Nach der geplanten Erweiterung und Renovierung wird das Haus ein "Geheimtip" für einen sehr erholsamen Urlaub.
