This was our 9th visit to Mercure Hagen. We like the atmosphere, quality of food and excellent parking facilities. The staff are polite and helpful. We will definitely return to Hagen on our future trips.
Located at 10 minutes walk from city center. Underground parking to pay. Some places of the hotel are renovated with modern look like e.g. reception area. Room has basic interior but sleeping comfort is good. Elevator is very slow. Average breakfast. I didn’t use the wellness area but it looked nice.
This is by far my best stay at an ACCOR hotel in Europe. Ive to give full marks to the staff, the GM and front office team were so warm and welcoming and always ready to support with any need. Clean rooms, beautiful location, great breakfast spread and a comfortable night's sleep. I look forward to staying here again during my upcoming trip back to Hagen
Spend 4 nights at this hotel last week and enjoyed the stay very much. The room was nice and clean. The bathroom is a bit small, however sufficient enough and you do not sleep in the bathroom. We were staying on the 3rd floor at the road side, but when window is closed no noise. Although the outside temps were approx 25C this was not felt inside the room.Wifi working oke and Coffee-Tea making facilities available in the room. Its a bit a pity that there is no small fridge and also no safe available in the room which for at least the safe is concerned should be available in a 4* hotel. We booked an arrangement incl. breakfast and diner and when at dinner you could choose 3 main courses and to be honest, the diner was very good. The last day they served a buffet, however it was rather limited due to fact that there were not so much people dining which I would suggest to only do this f.i. on saturday/sunday when its more busy. We left saturday morning and when taking last breakfast it was extremely crowded. Apparantly also fans of football Borussia M.G staying there to go to stadium. The staff was nice and provided us with info about visiting Hagen and areas. All in all a pleasant stay, although Hagen is not really a town attracting tourists, but its a nice place to stay if you want to do shopping and a start visiting other interesting areas.
We stayed here for 5 days. The hotel itself is smart and modern. The immediate surroundings though were unkempt; litter, weeds and graffiti. It is within easy walking of restaurants, bowling, theatre etc in Hagen. The rooms are clean and reasonably spacious (particularly the family rooms). No air conditioning though so open windows made for quite noisy evenings (compared to anywhere else I've stayed). The staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly.
They should do something with the dust on the windowsills and terrible odor in the rooms. You will get just things you payed for and less than you expect to: no safe box, slippers, extra pillows, ventilation, glasses, etc. Carefully check the hotel description; almost everything is absent, that is not named. The bathroom is just ther size you are capable to utilize it.
Clean, efficient, well appointed rooms, all the facilities a business traveler requires. Stayed for one night after a long drive from Rotterdam the hotel has lots of parking space many under cover close to the Hotel reception. The staff were efficient yet nice and made no fuss. I would stay here again without hesitation.
I stayed here on an stop over to Finland and it offered a brilliant nights rest. The room was a little on the small side but there was only myself in there so it wasn't an issue. The tiny bathroom was a little disappointing but the bed was really comfy. The wifi was free and adequate for streaming Netflix. The breakfast was the usual buffet affair but was plentiful. As mentioned by most of the reviews offered on this hotel I have to agree that the staff were very pleasant and helpful. I would definitely stay again.
the hotel was great but the best thing was the staff miss schmidt sorry can spell first name but it started with a f was lovely she had an answer for all our questions and we had breakfast was good with a great choice
I complained to the hotel's bartender about the absence of desserts (11 pm), he brought us candies for free. & i had all sorts of problems and the ppl at the reception helped a lot. recommended place.
