We arrived at this beautiful estate for our very last night in Italy. We had no idea what to expect as we drove through the large gates. What a lovely surprise.... the views were amazing and the accomodation beautiful. The gardens had been immaculately attended to and my boys loved the horses, resident friendly cats and the zebra. Yes a zebra. It was so close to Lake Magiorre and also to Malpensa airport. A perfect base to explore the region. Pity we discovered it so late in our trip. Breakfast was AMAZING and held in an old renovated stable... so fresh, abundant and delicious. My only regret was that we Australians could not stay longer... we will be back again some time and we will definitely stay at this beautiful property. Thank you all at La Cucchetta
We stayed here after our long flight from Australia. When we arrived I was not feeling at all well. The staff went above and beyond to make sure I was looked after. Even allowed us to check in early to one of our rooms (we booked 2). I am so grateful for this. Beside this the rooms are spacious and clean with all the amenities you need for a pleasant stay. And the animals kept the kids entertained for hours! The breakfast was great! Cooked to order and a great array of food and freshly pressed juice! Don’t hesitate to book here. I would definitely stay here again! THANK YOU!
We wanted a peaceful country retreat close to Milan Malpensa to rest after a long flight before continuing on a three week visit to Italy. Just a 30 minute drive from the airport above Lake Maggiore this far exceeded our expectations. Lovely place, extremely peaceful and comfortable, yet near the Lake and the attractions. Would repeat this stay any time.
Wonderful experience here. Such a stylish, comfortable place with fantastic hosts. Our children loved all the animals. Loved all the special extra touches that other places we stayed didn’t have - cooked breakfast, wine glasses in our room, pressed juice, beautiful linen etc etc. Thank you for our wonderful holiday.
We had a couple of nights in this ranch and enjoyed the quiet surrounding, the view from the room, the comfort and space and an exceptional breakfast room. We were welcomed by Fernando who looked after us with grace and responded to our requests.
A truly stunning B&B unlike any i've stayed in. From the moment we arrived until when we left we were totally bowled over. Terence the host is a real asset to the place and he could not be more helpful. The apartments are huge and immaculately decorated. Sky tv, 2 bathrooms, massive bed, large kitchen, balcony, air conditioning, it has everything. Bring some mosquito spray, they wake up in the evening. It's a 20 minute walk to Red Beef, another 20 minutes on that if you want to go into Arona. I'd suggest driving as it's all uphill on the way back! If you love horses/animals, you'll love the place. We'll go back for sure.
My family and I were looking for a place to stay about half way between Venice and Zermatt. I found this B & B online and the pictures looked awesome. So, I booked it. When we arrived, we were greeted by Terrance, manager for 10+ years. He was amazingly accommodating. Our apartment was terrific. But, the real treat was the 95+ beautiful acres of grazing thoroughbreds, sheep, and other animals, including a very friendly zebra. Bruno, the owner, gave us a personal tour of the property. Everything was great! A definite do over. Just an FYI....the front gait provides privacy for the property and was a little confusing as there was no signage. The driveway is gravel & uphill. So, be on the look out.
This place was one of the most fascinating places we stayed at. Overlooking the paddocks with beautiful horses and an astonishing view on Lago Maggiore, this is where you should stay longer than only one night. The owners really made their dream come true. A super cosy apartment and impressing breakfast in front of the fireplace in the main building- made by a super friendly host- made us feel like at home.
This place is …magic ! With horses , poneys , dogs cats , and , even zebras ! You get a beautiful apartment wonderfully furnished in a very quiet place , you must like countryside away from the noise roads etc… we will come back soon on our way to Milano ….
If you ever wanted to know how it feels to be a billionaere for a few days - this is the place! Be sure you do not book this place only for one night, since you would truly regret it. Plan to do nothing on the first day of your stay here, because you won't be able to get off the cozy couch or stop enjoying the endless grass fields. Amazing for couples as well as for families with kids. The b&b is created by a true horse lover, and you can really absorb the history of Italy's greatest racing horses from the books and the painting all over the place. Special thanks to the owner of the place you gave us this unbelievable experience as well as to our amazing host who made us feel at home.
