Rooms a lovely, if a bit warm. Lovely and characterful - which is impressive for a building which is only 10 or so years old. Only slight downside was the food at night. Which was a bit average. But as a hotel, for the price you pay, can’t fault it

Lovely staff, very friendly. Great food whether eating a Bar Snack or main meal in the restaurant. Room was very clean, only one very minor snag was that we felt it could do with better lighting, the room seemed quite dark and made it difficult to read

Lovely great looking hotel in Poundbury. Easy parking and nice bar area and dining room. Food choice limited in restaurant. Too much fried food, cheesy mash and lack of choice. House wine was out of stock so surprise they offered one £10 more expensive. Cheese board, would not do for one which was strange as all other puddings for one.

Spacious rooms with a comfortable bed. Good choice of coffee and teas in the room. Roberts DAB radio provided but reception hit and miss. Large wall mounted TV. Very clean. Powerful shower with a choice of normal or "rain". Good choice at the breakfast buffet with freshly cooked options from the kitchen. Very friendly staff throughout the hotel. A special mention to Marina for being extra attentive and caring.

We used the hotel for a bride and groom and some guests. We didn’t use the Duchess for the wedding ceremony, but the staff were very happy to make a special occasion for the happy couple. They also accommodated a large party of guests and non-guests for brunch the next day. Parking is easy and free. The hotel is modern and stylish, with lots of extra welcoming touches. We liked the mini books in the room and option of a rainfall or power shower. A really great place to stay.
