I wish we had stayed here longer! Our room was a cabana with a porch with a fridge and sink. I appreciated that each cabana door is oriented away from the other cabanas and has views of nature. The room was clean and comfortable and the bathroom really large and modern. There is a tv and free wifi. The staff was extremely helpful in arranging tours and transportation. The restaurant and bar staff members were also friendly and the food was excellent - especially the tomato soup and seafood soup. The pool is very large and clean. The walk to town takes about 10 - 12 minutes along a road next to a river. There isn't too much traffic and we felt safe.
We stayed here for about 6 days. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Jose is exceptionally cheerful and helpful. Everyone was very attentive. The rooms were clean, the pool was fun! There is an amazing Maracuya (passion fruit) mouse and coffee flan that we loved!!
We enjoyed our stay at this fabulous hotel! All though we had a small accident (stitches on the head of our son), the owner (Victor) offered his fantastic support by driving us in his car to the hospital and doing the full translation. Great help!!!!
Nice villa situated in beautiful garden. Prive seating outside under roof with fan. Great pool. Good food at restaurant. Outdoor gym, tennisfield. Near river. Was there for one night (ongoing trip), but could have multiple nights
This hotel was a stopover for us and had some ups and downs. Things that could have been better start with the lackluster staff at the reception. We were misinformed about a few things (Check in was at 3pm, we were not informed of a place to leave our bags. I asked for a pedicure, they said they would arrange it and let me know when it was possible. After three hours I inform again and it turns out -in a bizarre twist of events - they don't even have it at the hotel.) When we asked for a cart for our luggage we were sent in a general direction of where we might find a cart. The general vibe was so un-Costa Rican that it was very noticeable to us. For the first time this holiday I felt like the staff could care less if we enjoyed our stay. This doesn't apply to everyone, but definitely to several people who seems to enjoy their phones more than their jobs. The rooms are standard motel standard. Quite small, bad/grainy tv-signal, wifi was non-existent in the room and slow in common areas. Beds were good, aircon a bit outdated, but worked well. Bathroom was clean, large and well-equipped. The rooms were quiet, no trouble with noises from other rooms. The grounds are beautiful with a well-maintained garden and plenty of wildlife. There is some fitness-equipment available outside. The food in the restaurant is not very good. The taste is so-so, the menu is nothing special. A little overpriced for what you get. The pool is really nice, there is ample parking space, but I think there are better places to stay in the same price-range.
The garden is just beautiful the hotel is super clean the room is confortable and also the restaurant is very good I had a problem with the behaviour of one of the receptionist but the manager was very nice great option
Nice Bungalows in a beautiful setting, gardens full of wildlife, many toucans and red macaws. Great hotel for children, enough to do and see both at the hotel ground and surroundings. The hotel has even ids own jungle trail through the adjacent forest. Spacious rooms, fully equipped.
The staff is very helpful and efficient, especially, Jose Cabalceta at the front desk. Great breakfast, nice room and pool made our stay very enjoyable. Cable and Wifi are available. Make sure you reserve and confirm a shuttle before you arrive there. Taxi was $180 at the arrival but reserved a shuttle for the departure at the Tourist Information office for $88 ($44 a person).
My wife and I spent a lovely two weeks here. Comfy bed, lots space between the suites on the property. Felt like we had a lot of privacy. Nice hot breakfast included. Large pool with lots of chairs and also had bar service. Restaurant on site was convenient. Wonderful relaxing holiday We want bring the grandkids back next time!
We arrived in the pouring rain and carried our own luggage to our rooms. Very little outside lighting caused us to be soaked to the skin. Upon arriving at our room we found that three women sharing room had very little space to walk after putting our luggage on the floor. Instead of a useless patio more square footage could have been to a too small bedroom. We also had to ask for extra towels and wash cloths since they only provided three bath towels. Not even a towel to dry your hands. Front desk has been very polite and fulfilled every request. Dining atmosphere is ok. Turn the fans on. Nice place to visit but will try somewhere else next time.
