I was shocked with the facilities at this hotel as it does not feel like a 5 star experience at all. The location is good as it is easy to grab taxis and get around quickly but the rooms were not great. Shower is a little on the small side and the staff could have been abit friendlier to guests. The location of the hotel is in downtown, near a very nice shopping mall "The Gate Mall" and near a metro station. Also it is across the street from the Convention Center. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and we were even attended by the hotel manager.

Fine restaurant closed. No wine on property. Mediocre food the same high prices as better food nearby. Service slow and sometimes nonexistent. For example they offer shoeshine service. When I called for it someone brought me a handful of sponges. That’s not a shoeshine. Also not knowing Doha I was silly enough to pay extra for a sea view room. Between all the skyscrapers you can in fact see a small patch of sea. Not enough to justify charging for it. COVID hurt a lot of hotels. Management of this one has been unable to maintain a culture of service to encourage guests to root for the hotel. Won’t be giving them another chance.
