This is a very average hotel in Doha. Everything is just about OK. It is tired and needs updating. Whilst there is nothing much wrong with this place, there is certainly room for improvement as "Attention to detail" is very poor. The Sat TV in the main dining room drops it's signal every few seconds. Despite me pointing this out nothing was done to fix it over 3 days. Also I challenge the management to find out how many light bulbs are not working on the 16th floor. The room was ok, but needs updating and the mattress soft. Certainly this hotel is really a large 3 star hotel. Nothing luxurious or special. I would urge a prospective customer to look at other hotels before booking this one. It is not for me to tell someone how to run a hotel, but reading previous comments from other guests, it seems that nice words from the Manager do not translate into a proper feedback being acted on. Having said all of this, the staff are friendly and helpful.
Good Deal on this nice hotel in the best location in Doha. The rooms are still ok despite the age as there does seem to have been any upgrades since it was commissioned. The people and the service are fine. The food is fairly good (not 5-star). This could easily be a 5-star hotel with a general face lift.
I am thankful that Qatar Airlines gave me a free transit hotel-stay for some hours because my lay-over was 8 hours. Since it was a complimentary stay I really should not complain, but I think, a hotel in Qatar can do a little bit better than this to maintain Qatar Airline´s good name. These are the things that can be improved: Give a piece of soap to wash hands If you give tea bags (no coffee was there) sugar & creamer, give at least a plastic stirrer. (I had to use a pencil to stir my tea!) Keep a glass in the room Make sure someone cleans the table from the previous use After noticing all this, I was reluctant to lie on the bed (although I was dead tired) because I was not sure if the sheets have been changed from the previous use. The things I liked: Complimentary shuttle Call from the front desk to alert the shuttle departure in 30 minutes. I hope the management can look into these things to improve the quality of even complimentary transit rooms. I am sure paying customers get better treatment. It is better to charge the customer for room than treating customers with disdain because the room is complimentary.
I liked this hotel because it is very close to the colorful Buildings. It was clean too. They charge 25 dollars per hour to take you for a tour around the city and close the the amazing Souq Waqif market.
Hotel room was good and food was also very tasty and more varieties of food were available. This hotel was given by Qatar Airlines for long layover in Doha and cant ask for better one than this. Had nice time staying there.
For a 4 start hotel, it is disappointing. Complimentary water was not consistently deliver to the room. Had to keep calling housekeeping for it. Room was not cleaned although I paid for it till 11:30pm and was charged a night's stay. Gym elliptical trainer was bad. Breakfast was average. Bedsheet has holes.
This is the cheapest hotel Qatar Airlines take you to when you have a long stay between flights. Well, nothing more of a hotel. A bit old, overworn. Dirtish rooms. I remember they had good food before but it has also declined. Had a very average stay but would go to other place if offered
The hotel is situated among other hotels and some ministries. The area is under development, you have to walk a bit if you want to have a nice walk and relax. The food was tasty and the selection was quite nice. The hotel personnel were helpful, but the room service was forgetting to change some items - like tissues or toilet paper. I was also quite surprised to hear you have to buy a bottle of water at the breakfast, but almost all other beverages were included. Some of my friends who were with me, but were accommodated in other rooms had issues with cleanliness.
The first room we were given had walls falling off, literally falling off. They gave us a new room where the bathroom tub didn’t drain properly because they hadn’t cleaned the hair that had collected over a period of time. Had to call maintenance at 12:30am. The tiles in the bathroom were not clean either and had Soap/Sud stains. The floor towel was all worn out and threads falling apart. Didn’t have a hotel feel. Plus point would be friendly and cooperative staff. I would not recommend this hotel at all.
Reasonable hotel, well placed if you are doing business in the City Center area. Facilities are average for a hotel of this class and some elements are a little tired and in my opinion, would benefit from a modernisation programme. Room size is good with a desk to work on. Bed is a good size, but the mattress is a little too soft for my liking. Air conditioning works well, although the settings are a little tricky. Limited English TV channels and the satellite service sucks! It is up and down so watching a movie is difficult to say the least. However, Wifi does work but is not sufficient to stream from. The Bathroom is a good size although hot water is a bit hit and miss in the morning. Dining is Buffet style eating with a reasonable food selection usually chicken, lamb and fish, covering both western and Arabic palates. If you request service, the response is good, unfortunately, they couldn't fix the TV channel service. Overall, a reasonable budget business hotel well positioned for City Center.
