I had a very nice experience at Intercontinental Doha, the rooms are very neat and clean , even the city view is perfect as it has the view of Qatara , the staff are very friendly and helpful, once you ask for anything it will be brought in no time to your room. For Kids there is a playroom which they can stay for 2 hours for free. The food in Coral restaurant is amazingly fresh and delicious. The beach is calm and clean . I do recommend for people seeking a calm and luxurious place.
The food and selection were great. Service was amazing. Our server OmKumar was super. The maitre d' brought out our eggs and accommodated my girlfriend with her special request bringing items not in the buffet from the kitchen. Loved it.
I stayed at the hotel for one night as I wanted a relaxing beach day. Arrived very early to the hotel at 6.30am due to my flight timings. I was hoping a room would be available but I understand check in is in the afternoon. The staff at the check in desk was super helpful and accommodating. Resigned to the fact that I may have to wait for a few hours for a room, tired and a but dejected I made my way to the business centre for a bit of work. A few minutes later the check in staff (I cannot remember her name she was amazing) notified me that there is a club room which she has arranged for me. This was so good of the hotel. The room was clean, well organised and the service was impeccable. Breakfast at the Coral restaurant was very good, very fresh and service again faultless. The beach is nice however if you are looking for a relaxing time on the beach, you will not get it from here. The music played by the day club next to the hotel is so LOUD!!! Its a party beach, all day all night. I was there on a Friday which as a weekend would be busy. So not sure if the loud music is played every day or just the weekend. Unfortunately I got food poisoning from the hotel, this was from the in dining food which I ordered. I was up from 3 am, so not a pleasant sleep at the hotel. Checking out I notified the staff. I do hope hear from the hotel regarding this issue.
Ive stayed at this property on a few occasions during my visits to Doha. A wonderful location with a view of the sea. There are different restaurants catering to different tastes and thus one can never feel the cuisine getting monotonous. What differentiates the place is the people, be it at the front desk, at the restaurants, the gym, they always have a kind word for you and walk that extra mile to make your stay memorable. I have often been catered dishes that are not listed since they realise that during longer stays one often yearns for home type cuisine.
I want to thank for the great Man from Sri Lanka Mr.Sandun Chamara, who served us at the Coral restaurant. Thank you very much for the great food we head as well. Will visit you again. Sugest to anyone to visi it.
Stayed at this hotel many times and it never fails to impress. All the staff are attentive and professional and can’t do enough for you. We were allocated a room in the newest part of the hotel and it was really nice, spacious and well maintained. One of the main attractions is the outdoor pool and beach area, it really is relaxing because of its size. Everyone has plenty of space so it does not feel crowded. The hotel is well located close to city centre, pearl and katara. All in all faultless.
We were advised to come and stay at the Intercon by local friends living in Doha because of the beach, but it was a HORRIBLE experience - banging blasting music from the next door club is UNBEARABLE. You can’t read, you can’t sleep, you can’t relax at all. We complained but nothing changed. If you want to have a relaxing time at the beach, definitely do not stay here. There are other beach hotels in Doha and we recommend those instead. If you mention to other competing hotels that you are changing hotel because of the noise at the club you actually get a special offer, they are trying to help all the people who got conned into staying at the Intercon. It is truly the worst holiday I have had in terms of hotel, definitely do not stay here.
I absolutely loved my stay at the InterCon. Friendly and helpful staff, great restaurants and the beach + pool facilities were amazing. It's such a shame my experience was ruined by very loud nightclub music from the nightclub (X-Lounge) next-door. My wife and I were relaxing on the beach and nightclub-style music was pumping very loudly from X-Lounge early in the afternoon (2pm onwards). It was so loud we couldn't even read a magazine, let alone relax and enjoy the beautiful sea views and beach. If relaxing by the beach is something that interests you at the InterCon and I strongly recommend you do not stay there as you will be left disappointed. We wanted to unwind by the beach in the sunshine, not be forced to endure terrible boom-boom-boom nightclub music during the day.
Everything was perfect. Best beach, exellent pool, clean and spacious rooms, friendly staff. All sorts of restaurants, with delicious food, a little bit pricy, but overall great. The location is really good, everything is near the hotel.
I organised my leaving party in the Belgian Cafe, the atmosphere was great and the choice of Belgian beers was good. Rather than returning home late at night we booked a night at the hotel. This was an excellent choice as we enjoyed some nice breakfast and nice time at the pool. Staff, rooms, food was all excellent.
