The staff is excellent and caring. YOu can rent an apartment and have cooking facilities. Also, for convenience there is a luxury mall across the street. Hotel restaurants are authentic and delicious. Try Isaan Thai, Majlis (Turkish and grilled food). You can't beat the sea side location. Don't hesitate. Book now.
Beautiful touches on a set menu for Valentine’s Day. Four course meal which was delicious Thai food freshly cooked and with on request levels of spice / heat. Free flowing Lemongrass juice for me and Diet Coke for my wife. Attentive service from our waitress. All in all a magical evening to spend with loved ones. Well done GH!
I have been staying in Grand Hyatt Doha for a long time. The service is outstanding. Especially Room service guys are awesome. Vignesh, sabbir, Saiful, rudra, affan, Rio, vadum. They are all professionals. They are more than willing to help you in any kind of request you might have.
Just got back from 4 days in this beautiful hotel situated in west bay Doha. The hotel has everything you could imagine pure class and stunning beach with plenty of room no crowds and basically we had the whole beach to ourselves apart from a few families. The club rooms are best to book as it gives you access to your own lounge for breakfast and refreshments served all day. Also from 6pm to 8pm you get alcohol in the lounge the best of good wines and spirits and also beers. The restaurants in the hotel are all good especially the Thai which was our favourite. The infinity pool located at the end of the beach is amazing so big the pool with lots of sun loungers available. The gym and spa facilities are impressive with very attentive staff available throughout the hotel.
I am on day 3 of a 6 day trip and while the Hotel is beautiful, it is not for a family.... the biggest Let down is the closure of the main pool... I wish I had known this upon booking as it was already shut! I also would have liked to have known about the national sports holiday in advance as my children were not allowed to go on bouncy castles today so have had to spend the day out of the hotel.. full review to come later... but so far, not too impressed while in such a lovely location...
The staff are supe polite, I also had room service coffee and a staff member made me the most delicious made to my requirements iced coffee every morning, it really is the best iced coffee I’ve ever had. The private beach was also wonderful, they serve some awesome shisha on the beach.
I enjoy visiting Hyatt properties around the world, and in my previous trips to Doha never had the chance to stay until now. Using a combination of paid nights and awards, it was certainly a highlight of our trip. The staff was very professional and combined our reservations so we didn't switch rooms. Access to the Grand Club offered dining choices and drinks every evening. And the concierge service was helpful for Karwa arrangements when needed.
Stop whatever you're doing, because this is the review you need. This is the review you deserve tl;dr - amazing staff, manager (Karan), food and facilities rescue us from awful neighbours. My wife and I checked in at the Grand Hyatt for a 2-night staycation to celebrate our anniversary (and her birthday). While the room and check-in were perfect, Our first night was horrific. The room next to us was full of women screaming and shouting in Arabic from 9pm through to 4am. They slammed doors, shouted, sang, ordered food and drinks and exploded into the corridor on more than a few occasions. In that time we called the front desk on 4 separate occasions. Each time the front desk sent up security to ask them to quieten down (we heard each conversation). Each time the noisy tenants continued to yodel when security left. Naturally, we were upset and the next morning we went to complain. I won't lie, we were about to ask for our money back and check out on the spot. My fingertips were itching to type a nasty review. You won't believe what happened next. We'd just finished speaking with a lady at the front when the manager (Mr Karan) arrived, fully aware of our situation. He apologised profusely and arranged an upgraded room and some complimentary treats for us to help us enjoy the rest of our stay. Mr Karan was calm and understanding. We left that conversation knowing the situation was being handled by an expert. He gave us his personal number and notified us once our luggage had been transferred to the new room. When we arrived at the new room, their was a cake with a 'happy anniversary' on it. When I say the man went beyond the call of duty I mean it. I bumped into him again at the grand club while looking for the gym. He stopped what he was doing and walked me straight to the health club. When checking out, the lady handling our bill knew about our first night's troubles and asked if they'd managed to improve our experience. We couldn't nod our heads fast enough. The Hyatt gets 10/10. Not just for the beautiful facilities, attentive staff and delicious Thai food at their signature Isan restaurant, but because of an excellent manager and supporting staff who made us feel like they really were doing their best give us a great experience. They turned a bad situation into an opportunity to gain some loyal customers, and it worked.
We have enjoyed a great time at the Grand Hyatt. Doha is a beautiful up and coming city with great beaches and great architecture. It sets an example to every place in Europe that I have visited as far as cleanliness is concerned. You will be hard pressed to find any litter anywhere. Doha is very much multinational and extremely safe. The Grand Hyatt has many amenities and a private beach with water sport activities. Getting around is affordable if you do not wish to drive by simply using taxis or save more by using Uber. I have loved my holiday here
Stayed at this hotel on previous occasions and this time it was noticeable that standards are slipping. Hotel is beginning to show wear tear, guest amenities have been cut back and previous tea offer replace with cheaper and substandard products. Staff are courteous but robotic and follow standard protocol which means there’s room for improving from being good to great.
