I've spent one night between flights in this hotel. Great hotel with attentive and helpful staff, nice interior, and clean rooms. They have a pool with nice view on the roof. I've enjoyed staying there a lot!
Hotel is located in old town Doha within 10 mins walking distance from the Souq Waqif. Hotel is modern and rooms are very good. Was however, not too impressed by L2, the restaurant. There is a separate area for non-smokers but the area for smokers is much nicer. Kind of weird? Also when sleeping on higher floor (I was on 14) you pick up sole noise (bass thumps) from the nightclub.
Very good location in old Doha, in front of the sea and close to the souk. They have family suites with three bedrooms, ideally for larger families. Spacious and clean, Free shuttle to the airport takes 15 minutes only.
Location is good, but the interior design is really a contradiction between nice Italian Furniture and bad taste. There are several mistakes in the facilities to be comfortable as hotel and apartment, too: for instance bathroom are very small and lobby facilities are not having the standard hotel facilities. It is more a residential 4 stars building.
We spent less than a day here in transit, and were quite happy with the service, check in and check-out process, the quality of rooms, etc. The only negative was a slight unpleasant smell in one of the rooms, which went away once the air conditioning was switched on. Location wise, this is walking distance from the souk and the museum of Islamic art
It is a home away from home. Staff are very passionate in delighting their customers, able to anticipate customers' needs. Suitable for both business and leisure stay. Facilities are well maintained. Locations are convenient.
This was our second time to stay at this nice facility. It has very ideal location, nice sea view and high standard of cleanliness. Food at lunch was very good. However, quality and variety of food offered during breakfast, needs to be improved.
Everything was great from the room to the cleanliness, customer service and the location. Walking distance to MIA, the corniche and souq waqif; Also to the main bus station from where you can travel all over Doha. Breakfast was average, you could only get coffee or tea as beverage but had to pay extra for juice! The area has lots of construction going on, so walking might not be easy. A supermarket too further up Al Meena Street, very convenient. Would gladly stay here again and recommend.
I stayed here during a long transit at Doha. Staff were very courteous and helpful. Large well appointed rooms. At first I couldn't find a USB port to recharge my phone, but there was an iPhone dock which I used by removing my iPhone cover. (I later discovered a USB port at the back of this dock) All the power sockets at the desk were used, so it was a bit more difficult to recharge my laptop. There was in-room Wifi providing good internet reception. Room was air conditioned with fan. Well appointed bathroom with all necessities for in-transit people. The room also came with a sink, tea and coffee making facilities, microwave oven and toaster, and a bar fridge with a couple of complimentary soft drinks and still water. The Hotel has a pool deck on the 15th floor to cool off that is open from 8am to 8pm, with access by your room key. Great views of the Islamic Museum of Art, the port and across the water to the central CBD of Doha. My stay was part of a special free deal for travelling with Qatar Airways, but I'd definitely consider staying here again. I received two discounts vouchers: for a spa and massage, and for breakfast. Wide choice for breakfast (hot and cold). A La Carte menu for room service has a reasonable choice. I ate a late lunch meal in the dining room before my flight. The food was well prepared and presented and was generous considering I had ordered an appetiser not a main course. There is a bank auto teller at the entrance to the hotel if you need to get some Qatari Riyals for shopping in the nearby Souk Waqif.
I just took a Q-Grabs voucher for 140 minutes massage, facial and pedicure as a package . My expectation was high as it was Doha's leading 5 star hotel and spa. I took an appointment today and used the voucher. A Tunisian therapist was assigned to do the Massage and I enjoyed the Swedish massage. He told me that facial and pedicure will be done by MS. Hanen. After the massage, the same guy came back and said he will do facial as well! He started doing facial but I felt like a trainee doing! Not good for a reputed Spa. During the facial he applied a mask and kept it for 15 minutes to dry. He was running inside and outside a couple of times and finally he brought some tools and started doing pedicure. It was pathetic and unprofessional way. I was getting pain and I was reluctant to receive this treatment. It was only pedicure in the voucher but this guy did manicure as well!!. I asked why are you doing this! He was unaware of what is in the package. Once the treatment is over, my nail really looked pathetic and unevenly cut. I told the receptionist lady but no proper response. I spent 10 minutes at my home to shape the nails! I really don't know is there any internal fight happening between therapists and beauticians! So sorry comment like this. If anybody is visiting for facial or pedicure, make sure the beautician is qualified!!
