A welcome and comfortable stopover between Dallas and Tanzania. Hotel is just a few minutes' cab ride from the beautiful new airpot and boasts attractive decoration, helpful staff and a number of restaurants, not all of which were open during our brief stay. Room faced the sea with the city in the distance. Nice sized room, very comfortable, very modern. Service very accommodating and friendly, with good English. If you're a first-timer and at all intimidated by a stay in this Gulf nation, you can relax. All very comfortable, modern, safe and easy.
If you want to know what hospitality is, visit Doha Marriott! Superb! Travelled around the world for decades now, felt instantly at home here. For many many other hotels the ultimate example of how their business should be run. Thanks for a great experience! Erik W. Huizinga
Well, it was after a long day at work when me and my friends decided to try on a new outlet in Doha where we ended up by The View. The ambiance there was just amazing, even the music. I loved it. Then Charmie happened, this lady was just exceptional. She was so professional and I loved the way she was so attentive and took care of us. I mean, because of her, I’ll always consider this place as the spot to be. Charmie, keep up the good work, keep shining. You’ll definitely go places... Overly, the place is just beautiful and amazing.
The hotel had a good location facing the sea, a very big lobby, the front desk staff can't smile ..! I booked two connected rooms and arrived to the hotel around 6 pm and still the rooms not ready..! After waiting more then 30 minutes one room was ready and we waited another 30 minutes to have the other one.. the room is not clean but spacious... the furniture not what I was expecting from the Marriott.. the garden and the outdoor part of the hotel looks like neglected ( I attached a photo) the breakfast restaurant surrounded by shaded window preventing you from seeing the outside ( also I attached a photo) ... in general this the first time to have such low level of a five stars hotel in Doha.
Nice place to stay. Rooms are big and beds are very comfortable. Hotel had airport transfer which was very handy. And the hotel allowed us to have a late check out the day we were flying out. Has large pool, tennis court and private beach.
Where should i start....Stayed in for a weekend with my wife, and other 2 friends. Our room was fairly spacious for a standard size, but the moment you walk in you could smell the humidity inside the room. This hotel was one of the first built in Doha, and therefore you could tell that their rooms are due for renovation. When we arrived their front desk were helpful and gave us a room with a beach view. Their room service is very poor, We left the room for a day without hanging the “make up room” sign so they didn’t clean the room. I believe the common thing in all hotels is to clean it unless there is “ do not disturb” sign. And the other day which they cleaned the room it was done very very poorly ( used napkins were left on the sink, toilet unclean, only 2 small towels are placed without bathrobes), i called in 3 times to ask for bathrobes and they would forget to bring them every time, and when a guy named david finally helped me out and sent them, they were a couple of veryyy old used up robes. On this note, they apologized and david gave me a complementary late checkout. I paid extra for breakfast, but i wish i didn’t because their food was of poor quality... i asked for an omelet which i left after the first bite because their oil tasted very bad. The selection is small and presentation is 0/5..... Eventually... ull notice that people that stay in this hotel is for their pool and beach. Not for room service, not for room quality or food because i would give them 0 for this...
Last week myself and friends visited the street food buffet. This is the third time I have visited and this time, on my recommendation, I returned with a big group of friends. I had rang and booked weeks in advance and specifically explained we didnt want a table near the sea food area, (based on a previous visit where the smell and atmosphere hadnt been so impressive). When we arrived our table was placed next to the fish counter! I complained (and complained) and eventually they moved us. The food was just Ok. It looked as if it had been sat on the counter for far too long and the lines for the hot food (Indian/Thai) were so long that I decided to give it a miss. I was really disappointed as I had told so many people about how wonderful this place was (and that you could even use the entertainer) The following two days I was not well and had sickness. I really do hope that it wasnt from the food in the Marriot, as this has SO much potential.
I stayed for 3 Nights in the hotel in august-17 during a business trip. The hotel has a very old architecture for the old building with very spacious rooms, though the old carpet smell and the old wash room style will annoy you at times. Room had shower inside the bath tub which is quite annoying and has all the old fittings to add in. Hotel has a lobby where you can find people smoking between the lobby which is not good if you have kids around with you.. Although, hotel has good staff which helped me upgrade my room before I checked out. Thanks for that, I could have some good stay and sleep.
It the best hotel in town for its class and economy. The restaurants are a major draw attracting guests to their mouth watering cuisine. If you are in Doha next time, no need to look further! The pool 🏊🏽 is really nice and offers the deep end pool as well as the kids pool with fountains which adds to the attraction. Highly recommended!
