My sister had read several reviews about the imperial lodge that made her not want to stay here. However I went ahead and booked because it was reasonably priced and my relatives were all coming into town for a funeral. Pretty much most of the family got rooms there. It was clean, beds were very comfortable, staff was extremely friendly and attentive to our needs, picnic table outside was a great attraction for our family. It was occupied pretty much the whole time we stayed there for three days by our family with smokers and the gathering spot for family to socialize instead of room hopping. Yes its not a new place and yes its a little outdated but the ac will freeze you out and beds comfy and friendly staff more then make up for it being outdated. Ive stayed in newer places and not had friendly staff. Would definately stay here again next time I am in Waverly, Tenn. ;)

The room was clean and the air conditioner worked very well. The room was no smoking, but it smelled like it had been smoked in often and recently. There were not enough towels and wash cloths. Overall it was comfortable and I would stay at the Imperial Lodge again, but request a different room.

Some friends and I were in town attending a mini-conference and wanted close to where the meeting would be. Checking in was ready, the staff was nice. We got to our room and had a problem getting the A/V to come on. I called the front desk and he was there within 5 minutes. A small shopping strip is right across the street as is a Mexican restaurant. I can't remember the name of it but the food was very good. There were 3 of us sharing the room and we had plenty of walking space. There is a small refrigerator and microwave. We were all 3 surprised at how good the beds slept, much better than most hotel beds. Should we ever go back to Waverly I works definitely stay here again.
