Stayed for three nights over Easter fantastic hosts ! This hotel is kept very clean, it is secure and has many additional extras provided that I find many hotels often overlook, ample tea & coffee in rooms with decent mugs and a decent kettle, lots of hot water basic toiletries provided with big fluffy white clean towels.Shower was very good ! The room had a flat screen TV with plenty of channels loads of hangers in the wardrobe, lots of drawer space more than one mirror a hairdryer bedside lamps etc etc. Breakfast was really good the dining area again was kept very clean with a good selection toast cereals juice yogurts a full english cooked fresh was all provided and the little touch of the mini easter eggs and fluffy chicks on the tables on Sunday morning was a nice touch. Bar was also priced very reasonable. Location was perfect there is a pub over the road with a good bar menu and newsagents close by for papers etc the sea front is a short stroll down the hill. Rob & Donna have recently taken on this hotel and their hard work has paid off they were fantastic hosts but not a bit intrusive and we would not hesitate in staying anywhere else the next time we visit Torquay.
Stayed here for short break with my husband and in laws. Couldn't ask for anything more from Rob and Donna. So attentive but not intrusive. Only recently taken over this hotel and would like to wish them lots of success for future. Lovely clean rooms and breakfast was delicious and lots to chose from. Thank you very much and see you in August.
We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Patricia, the owners are incredibly friendly and couldn't do enough for us. The breakfast was great, very generous portions and a really big selection, all freshly cooked. Our room was extremely clean and comfortable and very well equipped. Shower was great. The location is really convenient, just a few minutes walk from the seafront and Torre Abbey. A few minutes on is the harbour and then the town centre, so everything is easily accessible. We would definitely stay here again on our next trip to Torquay!
Just had a wonderful stay at The Patricia,Kath and Roy are great hosts and couldn't do enough for us,nothing was too much trouble, from ordering a taxi to helping with our cases. The rooms were clean and had everything we needed.A special word on the breakfast-it was superb. The location was perfect, just a short stroll to the seafront. If your looking for a family friendly hotel with a very warm welcome I highly recommend The Patricia. Thank you Kath and Roy we hope to see you next year
Had a lovely stay at this hotel with my family.kath and roy are great hosts and nothing was to much trouble. The room was large and well decorated there were a few stairs to climb but the children loved it.The breakfast was the best I'v had in a hotel it was all freshly made to order with lots of choice. The hotel was very clean and the bedding and towels spotless.Loved Torquay and i'm planning a long weekend at the Patricia in October. Thanks again kath and roy.See you again soon.
Family rooms are on the top floor, but you must go up 7 flights to get there, 8 if after Breakfast. They came across friendly but slightly 'fake'. Unfortunately we didn't have a good experience, they didn't take it well when we told them we wanted to check out early because of the hinderance of the stairs and our young child. When we came down to check out they took away our daughters pram. They wanted us to pay the additional night we were not staying but how could we when we had to find something alternative. It was a horrid situation to be in, he even closed my arm in the door when I wanted to leave. We paid for one night, and that's all we could manage with the amount of stairs they had. Additionally you had to attend breakfast between 08:30am and 9am. When you're on holiday you want to have more flexibility then a 30 minute window to come down. Breakfast was otherwise very nice. Its like a home from home if you're staying with the Grandparents. Too many rules.. no eating hot food in room and can't use the breakfast room. You can just about breath. My 2 stars is being fair as it's not terrible but a last resort. Afterall if I wasn't on the top floor we would have stayed although our judgement of the home from home would not have changed and still would have given it a 3 at most. Our Travelodge stay was a 5star in comparison.
Lovely clean rooms nice towels and very clean bedding.A very warm welcome nothing was too much trouble . An excellent breakfast set us up for the day. A nice walk to the seafront and town, if not the land train is just outside
