I booked this room for our family of 5 to go over to the Detroit area the night before a Tiger's Baseball game. The lobby and staff were wonderful. Everything was very pretty. Nice restaraunt, good food and excellent service. We had the breakfast buffet included in our room cost, but we decided to also eat dinner at Charlie's Chophouse right in the hotel. There was a pizza party going on somewhere in the hotel, so they told us our pizza would take a little longer. Not only did they let us go up to the soup & salad bar for free, they also gave us 25% off our dinner bill and were just very nice about everything. The pool was warm, the hottub was very nice! All in all a great value for a family of 5!
I found the hotel much as other reviews said. The deco was rather dated but overall clean. The hallways carpets are dirty and aged. The first night was fine but in the morning we went to the hotel breakfast....what a mess. Upon check-in we received coupons for a free breakfast. The breakfast was cold on the buffet meaning gel looking oatmeal..crusty eggs...undercooked hash browns, stale begals. We were asked what we thought and told the server who let the kitchen workers know and fresher food was brought out. It was better but it was not too busy for the staff to stay on top of that. The first night we went to the adult swim it was great just me and my significant other in the pool and hot tub. But on Saturday lord help me it was a mess. There were about 20 kids running ..screaming...splashing...about 10 kids in the adult only hot tub. We let management know they needed to do something so that all guests could enjoy the area. We asked 4 separate times the manager kept looking in the door and didn't do a thing! The security peeked in didn't do a thing..like ask parents to keep there kids in the kid areas only! There were also no towels in the pool area for almost 2 hours. We asked for towels many many times before we received. What I kindly refer to as the tiny sheets of sand paper known as a pool towel. There is nothing wrong with the hotel that can't be fixed. Holiday inn please hire managers willing to do there job and housekeepers who keep the laundry done.
lobby and conference rooms are very nice. rooms are old, falling apart, and dirty
Hotel was pretty good. Pretty clean and helpful staff. Only problem is that their WiFi signals in the rooms are weak. Other than that, all is fine. Would've given it five stars if it weren't for the weak WiFi signals.
We stayed at this hotel to go to a wedding reception a mile away from it. All the the staff was very courteous and helpful including the shuttle driver who took us to the reception and back. I would stay here again.
Hotel was very, very nice. has a king size room with a jacuzzi tub that was fabulous. Very clean room and a huge jacuzzi. Would recommend this hotel to others. Very pleased.
It is a nice spot. Could use some updating
The kids had a supper time in the pool. They especially loved that it was 9 feet at the deep end. The adults enjoyed the lounge with live entertainment and hot munchies. The room was small, but clean and comfortable.
I used this as a place to relax at the end of my out of town business trip.
This hotel offers all you need when away from home. It has dining, nightlife, a great pool area, clean and comfortable rooms.
This hotel is stuck in the 80's!
the hotel was but the pool was dirty like they didnt clean alot with all the kids the water was salty
First the good: The Staff was very nice, they did good work. The Bad The room was very small. The AC is some rooms was central air, in some it was a newer floor unit, and in some they had very old floor units that didn't work that great. I couldn't connect to the wireless, and it had nothing to do with my computer. I don't know what the deal was. However, they did provide me with a wireless bridge which seemed to work pretty well. The ugly: The location. Although it is freeway adjacent, the area around the hotel itself is just plain ol' bad. There isn't anything around it. It is not close enough to the airport to be considered an Airport hotel (about 7mi). I'd say the most common feature around the hotel were liquor stores. Basically, they have a lot of good folk working in a poor location.
