"Outdoor surroundings are beautiful, clean and well kept with easy access to a sandy beach. Pool is large and easily accessible. Food is lovely with a huge choice in the buffet. There's also an Italian restaurant and noodle bar on site. I think all rooms have a lovely view over the Indian Ocean. Staff are very attentive, kind and helpful. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and I hope to return next year."

SANDUL VILLA - NEAR THE COAST IN BERUWALA SRI LANKA

"A really comfortable 21-night stay in this delightful villa, with its beautiful pool and garden. The host and his staff team were the stand-out feature, serving up tasty breakfasts and dinners, keeping the property spotless, ferrying us around by tuktuk, and looking after us in so many ways! There was very good air-conditioning throughout the villa and a superb beach at Bentota just 15 minutes away."

"Clean rooms, friendly staff and a beautiful setting made our stay very pleasant. The food was good but lacked the local influence - propbably because the hotel caters mostly to German tourists. Despite being on the beach we opted to spend time at other baches as the ocean water directly at the hotel was not clean."
