Tradewinds Hotel
"The three of us stayed at the Tradewinds Hotel in the 3rd week of June 2026 for one week. The airport to Tradewind hotel shuttle was on time and the staff moved the guest to the van. The shuttle was only 5-7 minutes. The front desk staff was always friendly and genuinely wanted to help and answer questions about American Samoa. Our king bed room was clean. The air conditioning was good with a ceiling fan. There was a microwave with large compact refrigerator. Large screen TV. Water heater. Two bottles of water complimentary every day. Everything worked well. The complimentary continental breakfast was good. The highlight of breakfast the large amount of fresh cut fruit like papaya, cantaloupe, honeydew, watermelon, kiwi, apples. Samoan stew. Cereal. Homemade Biscuits, . There is also a special menu you can pay to order for like eggs and meat. Swimming pool was great. Large and clean and warm water. Nice relaxing lobby. The hotel manager Ola was very helpful in accommodating special request, because there is no business center at the hotel. He also provided us with specially made Taro chips (like potato chips). Ola recommended a English speaking church for us. He took a special interest that we have the best experience at the hotel and on American Samoa. Apparently the occupancy rate is in the high 90%. The hotel is older, but well maintained. There are two supermarkets within 10 min walk. We were very happy with our seven day stay. High recommendation"
