Gorgeous new beach cottage in fantastic location!

This gorgeous new 2 BR/2 BA guest cottage enjoys an ideal location in the center of the best part of Destin (Crystal Beach) a very short walk to the beach, yet it's private at the same time! If you prefer not to spend your vacation traipsing the halls of hotels or sharing condo elevators with strangers, enjoy this stunning but cozy cottage in its super convenient location! One-half block (less than 5 minutes walk) to the beach--including showers, restrooms, free kids classes—and a lovely cafe, and 2-5 blocks to 3 grocery stores, over 30 restaurants, movie theaters, bowling, kids play area, and more!


The stunning cottage features a soaring cathedral ceiling in the living/kitchen/dining area, unique finishes, and a one-of-a-kind feel--to make the time when you're not on the beach as enjoyable and relaxing as your time on the beach. The first-floor master suite has a king bed of luxurious memory foam, double sinks, and a large shower. The second suite is upstairs and offers either 2 twin beds (also memory foam) or they can be converted into a king on request. There is a queen sleeper sofa in the loft. Amenities include a high-def TV, wifi, large deck, outdoor shower, full laundry, gas stove, and much more.

The cottage includes an outdoor jumbo spa that can be used as a small, above-ground pool, or the temperature can be turned up to be a hot tub. It has 8 seats with different jet configurations and colored lights. It's a great option for small kids to be safe if the Gulf is rough; for adults to soak, relax on a floatie, do some water aerobics, talk under the stars, wind down at night, etc. We do not have an inground swimming pool. (The nearby beach access has a lifeguard during most daylight hours in summer season to help you be safe while swimming in the Gulf.)

Important: This cottage is part of a family homestead and is only available when part of our family is away. With all separate walls, doors, and windows from the host's home, it is a perfect combination of having a home to yourself, and yet having the hosts adjacent if you need anything or want to ask advice from locals. Driveway is shared. Also, while 8 people are allowed per ordinance, we recommend 4-6 adults max for your comfort and to maintain the luxurious feel, especially for a weeklong stay.
The cottage is air-conditioned and features a kitchen, 2 bathrooms, and a patio, and there's space to spread out with 2 bedrooms. Guests can expect to find free WiFi and a Smart TV with a DVD player. Other standard amenities include a washing machine, a coffee maker, and a travel crib. Housekeeping is available on request.

Wendy & Gary are the most gracious hosts! Their guest cottage is spectacular! I felt like a queen for 5 days. My son loved the upstairs suite all to himself while I enjoyed the spacious and beautifully appointed first floor. The cottage was clean, wonderfully decorated and well thought out. The proximity to the beach is perfect for taking your family and using some of the many beach items available on property. There are so many restaurants near by and entertainment options. We can’t wait to come back!!

Perfection!This little gem was the centerpiece of our vacation providing us everything we needed and more. This is our third trip to Destin and this little cottage was by far our favorite place to stay. Wendy and Gary are very attentive to details about the cottage and awesome hosts! Very responsive to questions and helpful about recommended local eateries. Home is well stocked with all the amenities we needed including a well appointed kitchen and a myriad of beach gear. The hot tub was an added bonus — we enjoyed relaxing in it in the evenings after a day at the beach. Location is perfect for a short walk to Crystal Beach. Camilles on the corner was a favorite place to grab a smoothie and there are so many restaurants within a short drive. Excellent stay and we hope to be back soon!

Excellent stay for everyone!

For adults in my six year old daughter stayed here. We had an excellent time. The host was very knowledgeable about the surroundings, and recommended many restaurants for us to try during our stay. The cottage is very quaint, clean, and efficient. It was very clean, and we loved sitting on the porch in the morning. The hot tub is huge and we were able to enjoy it each night. The Host showed us exactly how to utilize everything and made sure that we had everything we needed before leaving us. We walked to the beach each day of our stay, literally a 5 to 7 minute walk. It was amazing. I highly recommend this beautiful cottage. My family plans to return soon.

Anniversary stay

We stayed for a weekend getaway for our Anniversary. The house was very nice and beautiful. The access to get to the beach was definitely a plus. It was just a short walk. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. Communication was very easy and they were there if we needed them. The only negative was the driveway. It was just tight getting in and out with our SUV. The house is attached to their house. They greeted us upon arrival but left us alone after that. If you’re looking for a nice place I would definitely recommend this one.

Beautiful Beach Cottage!

What an amazing place to stay! All the comforts of home in a spacious beach cottage down the street from the beach. The owners were available for the check in process and to answer any questions we had. There’s a cute restaurant walking distance down the street and the hot tub was a huge bonus to staying here. So many beautiful decorative touches throughout the home. We would love to come back!

The whole stay was amazing! There was no issues throughout our stay, everyone who stayed loved not only the location of where we were at but the place, it was clean, spacious, and had a nice atmosphere to it. It was lovely chatting when I first arrived to get a better feel of who i’ve been in contact with to try and make this reservation. That alone made this stay more personalized and understanding with why we needed a weekend getaway. This has been my first experience with booking a place and it overall has to be the best experience i’ve gotten with communication and making sure everything went smoothly. I highly recommend this place for anyone who is staying in that area!
