A short 0.2mil walk to the Donut Hole and 1mil to Harbor Village. The rooms are very good quality materials. The beds are firm. I have 1 con- The walls in the bathroom need to be cleaned after every stay, that was gross. It would be good to trim the weeds between hotel and the Shrimp Basket for better access, just a thought! Yes, I would stay again, Thank you.
It’s the beach but the floor in the bathroom was so sandy. The “marble” headboards were covered in handprints (ahem… if you get my hint) and smudges. The rooms are musty a bit from humidity. However it looks like they are really trying to improve the place and it’s actually quaint. It’s a beach motel and that’s what you get.
We would stay again!
The cleanliness was very bad, specially in the current time with Covid. In detail, at the room - the floor, the table counters, the bathroom from day 1 - to check out where dirty. At the outside facilities the pool was not pickup.
Staff were nice and friendly but room floor and the toilet were very dirty
We booked because the condo rental we had for the week was up and our flight wasn’t until the next day. We just needed somewhere for one night. The rooms had recently been remodeled so that was a plus. Otherwise we probably would have turned around and left. We had a stranger bang on our door in the middle of the night. We had car alarms (multiple) wake us up. Then there were two obviously drunk men fighting in the parking lot who then sat in the stairway outside of our door until morning. Needless to say we didn’t get much sleep. If this place was anywhere except Destin it would have felt too sketchy to stay in. BUT it was clean enough and we only needed it for one night. They allowed us to check in early as well.
half the lights didnt work, and when i would try to open my room door a staff member would have to push the door open for me because it would get stuck and impossible to open alone. it was worth the cheap price i paid i guess.
It was a decent stay, no breakfast :/ but staff was great.
Hotel was clean and close to everything. My only complaint is that the “comforter” was as thin as the top sheet so it was cold at night. Other than that, no complaints.

The price is right for the type of hotel. Love the amenities that it had in the room (fridge, microwave, hair dryer, clothes hangers, and smells fresh.
The property looks really nice from the outside & the rooms were nicely updated. Beds were comfortable. There was no do not disturb sign in the room so the housekeeper knocked on the door really early. I asked her to come back as my daughter was still asleep. No one ever came back that day so we never had any service at all over 2 nights. No regular coffee in room just decaf. Ice costs a quarter for basically a cup. Parking was tight coming back in the evening. I think the hotel has potential & it’s definitely not the cheapest in the area but for some reason attracts a certain element of people- one night coming back at 11, we couldn’t even park near the room because there were police cars there- some dispute between people in the room above us. I didn’t feel like my car was totally safe there either although the front desk told me they have security. Lots of people hang around on their balconies smoking & seem to be staring at you all the time. Not really a family environment. We didn’t feel comfortable using the pool as a woman & preteen girl.

This was fine for a short stay, and the lowest price I could find. It's not sparkling clean, but not dirty. It doesn't feel unsafe. It's an older property, and pretty much what you see is what you get. I have no complaints.
