This is a rural hotel. Not much nearby. However, we loved our stay. Unfortunately we were only there 1 night. Appeared to be an excellent place to relax for a few days. In house restaurant was very good. If looking for a nice place to relax, I definitely recommend. I'm hoping I have an opportunity to stay there again sometime.

What a beautiful stay! So quaint and beautiful on the lake. The rooms are very roomy, beautiful bathrooms. The staff is lovely. Breakfast limited to only French toast or cereal but French toast was delicious! We came up for Binghamton graduation and everything was sold out in Binghamton. So happy we ended up staying here! Would come again!

We loved our over night at the Chestnut Inn and were made to feel like royalty. Danielle is a very special host and made sure we had everything to make us comfortable. Dinner was delightful on the terrace…the lake being steps away. Small but clean and cozy room with updated bathroom. Hotel furnishings very authentic Arts and Crafts with nice details. Breakfast was delicious and mote than we needed! Thanks for a special visit!

I realize that it is a historical hotel. I appreciate the location, sadly the rooms were disappointing, not aesthetically pleasing. There was no choice for breakfast, everyone was served the same meal regardless. It was tasty, but limited. They ran out of coffee and breakfast. The dinner was ok, the young bartender was friendly, but not very knowledgeable (we figured it out). We were on the 3rd floor with no elevator, no amenities available. Probably won’t stay again, but for those who like tranquility it will do.
