The property was exactly as stated on the VRBO listing. Communication was seamless and the location is perfect for access to local fly fishing. The cabin was extremely cozy and while we did not bring our pet with us, I could see that the owner is an animal lover, and the property would’ve been very accommodating. I could not recommend This property more to enjoy outdoor activities in and around Deckers, Colorado.

Beautiful location and beautiful views of the mountains and river. Dog friendly. Perfect for a mountain getaway. Also, the locals are very friendly at the near by store and restaurant. Art was a great host. 5 stars.

Very quiet area, closer to river than thought (bonus), super cute friendly dogs near by, excellent communication from owner. There was a bear in the area and he let us know promptly. Overall, wonderful stay, will probably return again next year.

Summer Fishing Trip

My friend and I needed a place near Deckers that was comfortable, clean, and near the river. Art's cabin filled the bill. Very close to the river for fishing, clean, and comfortable. Art has done a great job explaining the rules of the cabin. It was very quiet. He makes sure you know that if you don't want to travel you should bring food since there really isn't any reliable place to eat nearby, but a 23 mile beautiful ride will bring you to Woodland Park.

Quiet solitude

Very quiet and relaxing cabin, incredible quietness, and relaxing mountain retreat. Kitchen had everything that we needed to do any of the cooking we needed to do. Will be coming back.

Amazing cabin. Just what we needed.

I booked this cabin with Art for a father/son fishing trip this last weekend. His accommodations were top-notch and very close to Deckers; with miles and miles of fishing spots. We really appreciated the attention to detail and especially the outdoor covered patio, where we were able to take in all the stars at night while enjoying a tasty beverage. Cheers, Art! You have an amazing cabin and location. Look forward to coming back out with my dad again. Cheers! P.S. Art's recommendation for a guide with Flies and Lies in Deckers would be the way to go, if one is new to fishing or just wants someone to help navigate the waters. We caught about 12 trout during our excursion.

Great fishing cabin!

This cabin is just perfect for a fishing trip in the Deckers area. Everything you need is provided and well labeled. The property is very clean and in a perfect location. Art provided fantastic communication with directions and even gave some tips on flies for our trip. We would stay again in a heartbeat!
