A wonderful stay at Quartz Mountain Ranch
Our family loves to find unique vacation rentals and Quartz Mountain Ranch was absolutely perfect for us. Our kids (8, 6, and 18 months) were enchanted by all the outdoor space they could explore. I'd say the pictures almost don't do the place justice. It's BETTER in person. Aside from the breathtaking mountain views, the beds were very comfortable, the house was well stocked with kitchen and toiletry items, and check in and out was a breeze. We appreciated how everything in the house is designed to spotlight the mountains. It was such a nice touch. Rex and Michele have curated so much helpful information, from how to guides around the house to recommendations on restaurants and activities. We had some spring snow the first day we arrived and Rex even provided all the details we might have needed to prepare and stay safe. Last, but certainly not least, the rock climbing wall in the basement was truly special. Watching our older kid's faces when they made it to the top and rang the bell the first time was a special memory we won't soon forgot!

A wonderful experience all around
Our family had a wonderful stay at this spacious and welcoming home. The breathtaking mountain views were unforgettable—it was impossible to capture the full beauty in pictures. The kids loved exploring 'weather top mountain' and the creative Lord of the Rings-themed yard signs, as well as the multiple other yard activities they had.Inside, the house was cozy, thoughtfully set up, and full of fun touches. The variety of books encouraged unplugged relaxation—my son set a vacation reading goal, and my daughter enjoyed trying the piano with a beginner book she found. Small details like extra blankets, a walk-in pantry with spices and coffee, and a drawer stocked with tea made our stay extra comfortable. The kitchen was well-equipped for cooking and baking. Spotting TWO MOOSE on the property one morning was a unique and exciting experience. After going out to snowshoe, snowboard, and snowmobile, unwinding in the heated hot tub under the (many) stars was the perfect way to end the day.We also visited the host reccomended Coal Creek Coffee, a cozy café with great food and a small-town vibe, just minutes away. The hosts were kind, responsive, and genuinely invested in making our stay memorable. This home AND the hosts offered everything we could hope for—a really wonderful experience all around.

The pride of Gondor.
Our group of 6 stayed for five days during August and couldn’t have asked for a better setting for our vacation. Lord of the rings signs/lore across the property fed the imagination and on our last day we watched the first three films, which of course, they have a dvd box set. Two from our group got engaged while we stayed here which really had us feeling like a tru fellowship of the ring! The property is beautiful and a must stay for LOTR nerds alike. Not only does the property offer great views but it is located within a hour of some great hiking trails! Check in was a breeze and the owner is respectful and easy to communicate with.
Although it rained nightly, the ground sucks up the moisture very quickly. please follow local fire guidelines. It got very windy, so be sure to follow the owners guidelines on securing outdoor furniture/appliances (This property must be protected)

A wonderful mountain oasis
The property is located close to Boulder and Golden, but far enough up into the mountains that you get a chance to really experience the beauty of nature. Lots of activities at the house to keep the family entertained when not off exploring the surrounding areas. The house is also situated close to excellent areas for rock climbing and hiking if your group is interested, which ours was. We would highly recommend this property, especially if you are traveling with a group.

Convention and Snowmobiling fun
We traveled to Colorado for a convention. However, we wanted somewhere in between Denver and Vail Pass for snowmobiling. This property exceeded our expectations! Its three floor layout was great for our group of 7 adults. An abundance of bedrooms and bathrooms made this property extremely comfortable. The view is outstanding from many rooms in the house. Rex was very nice and kept us updated with potential snow storms. I had issues with my registration due to a typo in my email. Therefore, prior to even arriving to Colorado. Rex went above and beyond to ensure I was getting the needed information for our stay. Overall this has been one of the most outstanding houses we have stayed in! Highly recommended!

Spectacular views overlooking the Rocky Mountains
We enjoyed our stay at Quartz Mountain Ranch which overlooks the Rocky Mountains. The windows and furnishings are well placed to sit and enjoy amazing views from the warmth of the house. Both decks include comfortable seating for taking in the views when the weather allows. The house is spacious with many places for quiet and for conversation, depending on your preference. There are plenty of cooking supplies in the large and lovely kitchen, which accommodates several cooks as well as spectators at the counter.
There are three stories with the main level in the middle and the bedrooms on the first and third levels. The bottom floor also has a sitting area and deck, as does the main level. Guests should be aware there are stairs to navigate from the main level to the bedrooms.
The owner was available through text and phone to answer questions and help us navigate the roads and weather. Instructions for the stay were also posted in the house.
We enjoyed our stay at Quartz Mountain Ranch!

Best Kept Secret
We have travelled all over the state of Colorado for over 30 years, escaping the Texas heat every summer. Since our group is fairly large - 11 of us - we always look for a house. This is the first (and probably the last) review I have ever written - just not into doing reviews. But I must say, we probably enjoyed this property as much or more than any other. The views are awesome - way beyond what you see on the website and that is pretty awesome itself. The property was well maintained and everything was in great working condition - hot tub, appliances, kitchen and cooking accessories, media equipment, etc. (With many rentals, this is not always the case). I slept the best I have ever slept in a Colorado home. The owners clearly love the Lord as is witnessed in the decor of the home - I loved that! 5 stars!
