This could have been a great stay but it was ruined by the security and other staff at the front outside of the main lodge. They told my husband to slow down his car - totally fair though hard to see the 5 mph hidden behind a fallen branch - but the problem was that I was standing there waiting for him to pick me up and after they requested the slowdown they proceeded to mock him not realizing I was with his party. I cannot believe the level of unprofessional. I had to remind the staff that talking trash about guests in a public space is never ok. Also, the bunk beds have too tall of mattresses rendering the top bunk unusable for children as the mattress comes to the top of the safety rail. Further there is no AC heads up. And there was a lot of textile staining in the room.

The lodge offers exactly what you need in a remote location — a clean, comfortable place to stay with some truly breathtaking views. The expansive decks are a highlight, especially when Denali makes an appearance (which is always a treat if the weather cooperates). There are three restaurants on-site, which is important since there aren't any other dining options nearby. We only tried one, and unfortunately, it missed the mark — overpriced and more like cafeteria food dressed up as fine dining. Hopefully, the others are better. One unique feature worth checking out is the treehouse on the property. It’s a short walk and well worth it when Denali is visible — a peaceful little spot with a postcard-worthy view. I gave four stars because while the location and cleanliness met expectations, a few things could be improved: there’s no fridge in the room, the decor feels a bit dated, and the dining experience wasn’t great. Still, given the limited options in the area, this lodge is a solid, reliable choice — especially for the views alone.

We reserved 2 rooms as a family, would've been nice if the staff were more accommodating to have us in the same building rather than get lost everytime we unite, not very accommodating, front desk held us after 4pm till we checked in although rooms were available earlier, very slow new employee checked us in, not appreciated when people travel long distance and need rooms sooner, if other hotels can do it, you can do it also and be better at what you serve. Nice location to view mount denali peak
