I am staying at the Hans currently. It's in a good location easy walk to Conought place shops and the Janpath markets. ATM right next door. My first room here was a bit plain, but on my return, got a free upgrade and the room is lovely. Good free Wi-Fi through the whole hotel. Good restaurant and bar, recommend the lentil soup! Warm showers, plenty of toilet paper 👍 good selection of Indian and European food at breakfast. Would stay here again.
Room quite comfortable and if on higher floors off the main road nice and quiet. Once the water heated up shower was good. Meals average some alcohol ultra expensive. Staff very attentive and helpful.
We stayed in this hotel for just one night, so can say only a few things, for the moment. Its located very close to the Connaught Circus as well as to many landmarks. We were provided the room on the 21st floor which we thought would give a good view, but the pollution levels outside were so high that we could hardly see much. Definitely, the windows and the sunshade's badly need cleaning from the outside. The room was spacious, high ceilings, good decor, ample storage spaces for luggage, luxurious bed and a nice bath area. Everything was very neat and tidy. Wi Fi worked well during our stay. Had a good nights rest. Dinner in the restaurant was not too bad - though we felt it was a bit expensive. Sadly, we could not have the buffet breakfast as we had to leave early for our flight. Staff were very helpful and turned out well. Yes, we'd like to go there again for a longer stay - and also to provide a fair assessment.
We stayed here for two nights as part of a package tour and were quite happy with the room condition. Although furnishings were somewhat dated and needed refreshing, the room itself was clean and spacious, and the hot water system worked amazingly well for shower and bath. There was free wifi accessible within the room which was convenient. We forgot to bring along a suitable adaptor for India and the front desk obliged with our request to borrow one. Breakfast was an excellent buffet spread of Indian and Western selections, with freshly made omelettes at the egg station. There was even stir-fried Hakka noodles for those seeking an Asian alternative. It was easy to move around as the hotel is located along busy Barakhamba Road and its subway station of the same name. A short walk leads us directly to Connaught Place or Rajiv Chowk.
Very large rooms great service breakfast was yummy we had a fantastic view looking down one of the main street's one morning it was very foggy it looked amazing all the lights on, traffic lights on made for a great photo
This hotel is really close to New Delhi city center in a really good position for taxi , metro, bank and shops . My room was really dirty , dirty linens and towels . Toilet was dirty and we did not have hot water during all the evening. Breakfast was good and we had a good dinner at the restaurant inside the hotel .
The hotel would be considered a good 2-star hotel in most places in Europe and by no means a 4-star one. A hotel located in a very convenient place, near Connaught place, in the heart of New Delhi, with good transport to everywhere, as the metro station is just 4 minutes away and there are plenty of taxis and tuk-tuks available anytime, that can get you almost anywhere. The breakfast was good and the fresh and home-made omelette and sweets were highly appreciated. Also appreciated was the fact that I was allowed to check in early (at 10.00) at no extra cost. Many thanks to the hotel manager (s), who provided good solutions, whenever problems occured. The hotel personnel was polite and, most of the times, helpful. Free and reliable WiFi. Clean and spacious room. Nice view of the city (16th floor) Negatives: There was neglect in the room furniture and old-fashioned in general. The price was high for the facilities and luxury provided (around EUR 85-90/night). Personnel, although polite, was sometimes unable to give solutions to simple things. Negative highlight: When, at around 09.00, in two cases, the toilet started working as a fountain! (or as an icelandic geyser) It was fun and interesting to watch it explode from a distance, but it would have been an extremely unpleasant experience if someone was seated at that time. The fridge and sockets would stop working when the hotel card was out of the slot (by the room service), which was very inconvenient if you had things in the fridge or a mobile charging. Pay attention to the fact that taxes are NOT included in the room price.
This hotel is dated but good. I booked many months in advance and got a huge suite at a very favourable rate. It was comfortable but only had a bath tub with flexible shower hose (that couldn’t be hung on the wall :( Breakfast had Indian, basic western and eggs cooked to order. Checkout was efficient but I discovered that I was charged the Dynamic Currency Conversion rate in my home currency rather than the INR rate. This added over 10% to the final bill - I was not advised I had a choice and only found out when later checking my CC receipt and seeing the choice of currencies that needed to be ticked. It may have been a staff omission, but I suspect it was deliberate. This spoilt an otherwise pleasant stay.
I would have rated this hotel probably at 4* but on checkout recently, I was charged 142 rupees for a bottle of water in my room, which I'd not had. [Normal charges are 20 - 30 rupees for a bottle of water elsewhere]. A full bottle of water was produced from my room, but apparently it had a broken seal. I couldn't be bothered to argue over their outrageous £1.77 charge at check-out, so I just paid up and left. I thought they were extremely petty to cause unpleasantness over just a single bottle of water.
Over all, not very great hotel to conduct meeting and stay. It is located in a commercial building and doesn't have good surrounding. Not a very good experience. Food was good. Over all doesn't have a great ambiance and location
