Nice hotel in central New Delhi. Pkeasent helpful staff, clean and well equipped. Good choice at breakfast with many Indian and European choices. Hotel rooms good but could do with some updating. Unlike many hotels wi-fi worked well. Rooms at rear away from busy road junction best choice.
we arrived after 20hrs of travel via dubai from south africa. hotel is very old but comfortable. we expected a better room as per internet pictures butvwe were too tired and needed a comfortable bed and hot shower. breakfast options were good and staff was very on hand trying their best. clean hotel good value for money and a good stay in the metro area near palika connaught areas. i reccomend hans in new delhi
Located at Connaught Place, this hotel is in a high-rise building at the junction of Barakhamba Rd and Tolstoy Rd. My room in the 20th floor had issues with getting mobile signal. The staff (front-desk, room service and the staff at the restaurant) could be a little more helpful and attentive - they all appeared low in energy. While checking out, the staff customarily asked, "how was your stay" and as soon as I started telling him my experience, he cut me short and asked, "will you pay by cash or card?" That kind of showed how much they cared for the customer.
We where out in this hotel while on a "Webjet enchanting north India and Varanasi 15 day tour " What a disappointment this is not a 4 star hotel - curtains didn't close across the whole of the window - the towels where tread bare - breakfast was limited -the front counter staff seemed uninterested - rooms very tired and worn Saying this the staff in the restaurant where very pleasent We had to return to this hotel for one night at the end of the tour and no one on the tour was looking forward to the stay but our guide must have complained after we all talked to him and myself and an other person we was on the tour where upgraded to a more comfortable room with good beds and pillows. The breakfast was still limited but the breakfast staff did welcome us back Would I stay here again NO
This hotel is exceptionally large old and not, in our opinion 4star. We were put into this hotel via a tour operator, we asked for interconnecting quiet rooms. The rooms were by the lift and conversations could be heard along with toilet facilities in both rooms which was far from satisfactory. Asked to be moved informed no rooms left. Insisted on being moved. After 4 different rooms being shown none of which were satisfactory one room was a suite which was satisfactory the other was next door and so so. Two rooms we were shown, which after informing quite rooms were required were directly over the air conditioning unit and there was a constant whirring all the time, imagine what it would have been like during the night!!!
Middle of the road hotel, certainly nothing special Rooms clean enough and in good condition. Breakfast included but not great. Choice a bit limited. Staff quite friendly and helpful. Evening restaurant good but very cold, in decor and temperature. Food ok but very Holiday Inn. Bar manager friendly and helpful with food recommendations and a chat. Hotel rated as 4* but only deserves 3 stars at best.
We traveled on holiday and used this hotel for about 3 nights. The hotel is well located in Connaught Place which seems to be a fairly up market area. The hotel is close to a few local markets and also the Connaught shopping area which has many branded stores. Rooms are decent clean and neat. Breakfast is average with a fair spread. The restaurant is a bit overpriced so if you don't mind walking a bit to the shopping area in Connaught you'll find alot of restaurants and fast food chains available. Staff were helpful and pleasant to deal with. Tip: Although unrelated to the hotel we walked one morning to the shopping district at around 9am not realising that stores opened a bit later in the mornings. The area and type of crowd around felt very unsafe at that time surprisingly. Best to start your day a bit later if you are going to be walking around in the area. Also would be tour guides tend to follow you from just outside the hotel keeping a distance behind you and come up to 'help' if they see an opportunity. Just becareful of this when you are in the area.
Good - location, restaurant staff, housekeeping staff, room size and view Bad - expensive, reception staff (apart from a couple of exceptions they were unfriendly and surly), lack of hotel amenities given the prices being charged This hotel needs to remember that its customers are what makes it succeed and not rest on the laurels of its prestigious location.
Lovely friend hotel. Staff always smiling and welcoming. Great service, rooms were spotless and breakfast delicious. The location is ideal for Janpath, just a few minutes walk. Having a metro station just outside the hotel was a big plus too! Will definitely return here next year, if we can, with a group from the U.K.
The location is centrally located, decent infrastructure, service is alright with a okayish breakfast. Food is way too overpirved for a 4 star hotel. A good alternative is ordering food online or eat outside.
