This was our first stay getting into Old Delhi. It's hard to find and at the end of a sketchy looking alley, but was within our budget. We were walking distance to bazars, the red fort, and the mosque. The room is basic, but the wifi is great and service was great. Chabbi was so friendly and helpful and offered to us to eat on the rooftop every night, which was so nice! The food was amazing and the included breakfast was more than enough! This is a great place for backpackers!

A fairly basic hotel, but clean and wifi works. Rooftop terrace and good food with beer if you want it. Best thing is the super friendly and helpful staff. Good tourism service too if your looking for help with your next move. Hired an excellent driver to take us to Agra and Jaipur. Would definitely stay here again. Don't be put off by the winding alley up to the entrance - it's fine. This is a really busy part of old Delhi - a bit of an assault on the senses but brilliant nevertheless. Right next to Chandni Chowk, Red Fort and Jama Masjid.

The hotel is really affordable if you are looking a budget hotel. The rooms are clean. It is not very fancy but comfortable. The people there are very helpful and provided instant support and solutions when required. Breakfast was provided in our room as we had to check out very early and their dining was still closed. Very much satisfied and will visit again when visiting delhi.

We spent the first 4 nights of our trip to India in this hotel, it is situated in a quiet alley off one of the main streets. The rooms are clean, have free WiFi and air conditioning. the area is safe to walk in, even at night and the staff are very helpful. The only thing I would advise against is talking to the owner about your travel plans... his office is right opposite the hotel and he will do his best to talk the unwary traveller into spending a fortune on an "tailored" trip. Having said that, I would be more than happy to visit again, it is very close to plenty of attractions.

Called up hotel in the morning when another hotel denied room despite reservations. Receptionist assured of the room n was very courteous, the rooms were good, though the approach was bit confusing, Very close to Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Old Delhi railway station and ISBT. Restaurant has a limited Menu options but taste is good.

This was our third stay at Hotel Tara Palace and won't be our last. A good location and soon to be even better when the new Metro line opens. All the staff are friendly and efficient. It's nice to recognise the same friendly faces over the years. Clean, spacious rooms at a reasonable price.

The staff were helpful and obliging, the room was more than adequate, air conditioning, WIFI, sky TV with English channels. If you required hot water for a shower in the evening you need to request 15 minutes prior so the water could be heated up, whilst a little odd the system did work. I was staying in room 301, the bedding and towels were perfectly clean, but the shower had a very poor flow ( but water was hot) and the room needed a damp dust all round. Now the big draw back to this hotel is the access, arriving late a single female I was very apprehensive about the location and the state of the area( photos attached) Once in the hotel all was fine, the food was fine and room service quick. Forget about eating on the rooftop it's a mess and not set up for out side dining. The location of the hotel in old Delhi is spot on . 5 minute walk to the Red Fort and 5 minutes in a rickshaw to the spice market. Once I settled in moving around the area was fine, although I didn't venture out at night. But in all honesty I would not recommend Delhi New or Old as a place to visit but that is just a personal opinion.

We stayed three nights and then returned 6 weeks later before flying out. It can cause you to panic when you arrive due to the entrance. Our driver left us on the street and then were a little concerned walking down the alley way to the entrance. Once over this it's actually a great location as it's out of the noise and rush of people. The staff where very helpful and friendly. The rooms are basic but all you need is a bed to sleep in with the wonders of Delhi on your doorstep. The restaurant offers good food and we dined on the roof. Great fun. You can walk to The Red Fort and the subway in near by - ask for directions at reception. Sheets and room clean but air con a bit hit and miss. Bathroom basic.

Stayed in this hotel for 3 days, I liked the hotel, Neat and Clean rooms, Realy Good service specialy guys at the front desk, thou hotel was little inside from main roads but still the best location as Red Fort is just 2-3 mins walk away and Jama Masjid just 2 mins away and Chandni Chowk, Krishna Market all just walkable distance, Room were nice huge with long connecting balconies to other rooms, Breakfast was complimentary and was really nice, you have 3 options on breakfast, Indian breakfast, American breakfast and Continental Breakfast and i tried Indian and American and i liked both, And ofcourse they had a free wifi in room as well, I would definitely stay again in this hotel.

We stayed here for three nights at the start and end of our Rajasthan tour. It isn't easy to find and as you drive up to it you will have doubts as the street is a mess. However, as the hotel will collect you for free from the airport (return approx £8) it is stress free - we were late, but their driver waited for us. The hotel is modern, rooms are well furnished with comfy beds. It is pretty quiet for India and you can have a Kingfisher on the roof terrace - nothing flashy, but atmospheric at sundown. We only ate in one night, but the food was excellent and cheap (beer less so, but that goes for all hotels and restaurants). It is close to the Red Fort, we walked there first night and into Old Delhi, but after a while had to grab a tuktuk to avoid all the people wanting photos with us (especially our tall blond daughter!). Staff generally fine, but some could be a little more welcoming and it would be good to have complimentary water in the rooms. That being said it is great value for money and I would stay there again.
