This was one of the best hotel for me which i have stayed along with my family. When I went over there I realize this is a best place to spend some precious time with my family. Our room was in ground floor, was very spacious, toilet and bathroom facilities was excellent, The restaurant located on the top floor the food was too yummy and tasty. You can have all types of food like veg, non-veg. You can have good quality food over there with multiple varieties. And I have found many guests from different part of the world as solo and groups while having breakfast at restaurant. Staff are so helpful especially Mr. Azeem, they are always available to help you whenever you need. Every time they are avail be with smiley face. I am happy that I went over there and spent my good time. The location of the hotel in little bit crowd area, can see traveller's every where in the street. I am recommending Aura for all to have something new with nice experience.
Hotel is good as we expect from a budget price hotel. It room was good. infact better than other hotels of 2k range. Manager was good and always polite. manager on travel desk was also very cooperative. We had breakfast included in the room rent. It was served buffet at top floor Restaurant. Dinner was also good here.
In 2014 we stayed at this hotel, it was great so went back recently. We are two older women booking two single rooms. We paid in advance for 3 days at beginning of our trip and 2 days at end of our trip. We advised the hotel we would be arriving between 3.00am and 4.00am as our flight came in late. We also arranged a pick up. We were not picked up and when we arrived at the hotel we were told there were no rooms for us. After some discussion they told us we could stay at their "other" hotel and come back to Hotel Aura at 12 midday. As we had few choices, we did this - it was a lower grade hotel. We were not compensated. We checked into Hotel Aura at 12 midday. The next day I was asked if I had packed my bags. We were confused but were told that I had been given a "premium" room (what a joke) and needed to move. I went upstairs and packed up and then came back down to tell them I had done this. They then said they had decided I could stay in the room. Before we left the hotel for our trip we asked for reassurance regarding our rooms on our return. We were given this reassurance. When we arrived back we were told we had been upgraded to the "premium" rooms. We thought "Oh, they are making up for the poor treatment earlier". Next day "Have you packed your bags". Yes, we were asked to move again. This is what this hotel does - they give away your rooms, they ask you to change rooms and they lie constantly about the reasons for this. We found the reception managers rude and uncompromising. However, the food was good and the restaurant staff lovely. The other support staff were also lovely. There are also many "screaming" matches in reception which can be heard on the other floors, no doubt other people whose rooms have been reallocated. Also, they have problems with their drains. Once you use the shower there is an awful smell of blocked up drains in the room which is really unpleasant. We do not recommend Hotel Aura and would never stay there again.
Location id fine.Near Centre, Cannaught place. It was nice experience staying here. Manager and all staffs were very good. Friendly and helpful. Living room was nice and clean. Bed and bedsheet all clean. Bathroom also clean. Travel assistance counter was very helpful.
Manager was very good. and very polite in behaviour. He showed me two room and upgraded for free( may be technique to sell). But the executive room was much spacious.Bathroom was also different. Breakfast was free and was good veriety. Also Room service was good.food was tasty on good price.
We werent sure where to stay in Delhi and dont mind roughing it, but are pretty sure Paharganj may not be the best neighborhood for tourists, despite the central location. Our early morning airport pick up was punctual and efficient. I did have to email the hotel to set that up four times, I highly recommend writing "URGENT" in the subject, then they finally respnded. Hotel itself was clean and had a fancy shower, with sporadic hot water which seems to be the norm in 3 star hotels around india. We had arranged for a car to the train station and they seemed to have no record of that request and charged us 500 inr for the ride when an uber was under 100 inr and would not have been 20 minutes late, and probably wouldn't have smelled like a pack of wet dogs. Communication for that car was confusing and difficult and kind of tainted my impression of an otherwise pretty good budget hotel in delhi. This hotel was definitely doable and had good wifi, but i bet there are better deals in delhi.
We have booked two nights at Hotel Aura, New Delhi. Booked a family room via booking.com and followed reviews. But unfortunately they were not right. Our family room was full packed and no space. Bed linen were unchaged, dirty and some stains and hair strands on them . Food particles on the mattress. Bathroom door mat was really ugly and damaged. Not suitable for a hotel. Toilet flush button was damaged and staff didn't want to fix it. We didn't enjoy our stay at Hotel Aura and not recommend it to anyone, specifically for families. Please do not trust their photos because they are not accurate.
The hotel room was spacious. It could do better with cleanliness. The food was good. Best to avoid the travel desk at the hotel. They are cheats, do your research before booking their car. Delhi metro are highly recommended to get to the touristy places.
This rooms and facilities of the hotel does not match with photos seen in Tripadvisor portal. Most of the rosy photos seen in the portal are very cleverly taken using wide angle so as to confuse the gusts about the room size of the hotel. I have stayed for one day in this hotel on 12 December 2017 before heading towards Manali and had the worst experience that I had in my entire stay. Starting with the hotel reception, the reception staff will not greet you as is common in most good hotels all over world. The reception staff, though wearing a nice suit, will show you an attitude that he is doing a favour in taking to you. To the utter disrespect to incoming guests, they will ask you to clear the payments on arrival before even showing any rooms to the guest. This is very uncommon and was a new experience for me. Most hotels politely ask for 50% advance and then charge the rest at the time of check out, whereas this hotel will ask you clear your dues at the time of arrival. The room that I stayed was a standard one so was I told. It was a very tiny room where one can barely enter and get put as it is so congested. Moreover, the room that I stayed was very smelly and having no ventilation except the AC which itself seemed to be the source of bad smell. Looks like the vents of the ACs were not cleaned for ages. Then the bed and and wardrobe smells where you would not like to put your cloths. The worst part of the room is the toilet. Again very tiny and congested and very little light inside (only one light barely illuminating the bathtub, the basin and other places are in fully dark) where you can barely see things. There is no shower curtain attached to the bathtub, if you take shower the entire bathroom will be wet for having no shower curtain. Overall, the hotel is overpriced compare to other hotels in the locality and the facilities it offers within that price. Not recommended and would strongly advise to examine the rooms first with own eyes before staying in the hotel.
The hotel is good if you are stopping in Delhi before moving on elsewhere. The rooms are fairly clean, and of a good size. The breakfast is nothing to write home about, and the staff are moody apart from the young lad who helped as much as possible.
