Disliked: Cleanliness
The unit itself has a lot going for it — the beds were comfortable, the space is a good size, and the location is great with easy access to the beach and Daytona activities. That’s exactly why our experience felt disappointing… you can tell this could be a really nice stay with the right care.Unfortunately, the cleanliness and maintenance were not where they should be. We noticed rusted door hardware, scratched and dirty walls and doors, stains on the ceiling, and grime around edges and corners that looked long-ignored. The shower floor and curtain also needed a much deeper clean.On our last night it rained, and water leaked into the kitchen in two places. We put down towels and pots to prevent a mess. When we notified the owner, the response was simply that they would “let the HOA know,” which didn’t give much reassurance.We enjoyed the trip overall and made the best of it, but the condition of the unit made the stay less comfortable than it could have been. With proper maintenance and true cleaning, this rental could easily be a great option — it’s just not quite there yet.
