The place is fine. A bit odd being across the street. Hot tub was shut down due to "hot water shortage" but it looked pretty permanent. Breakfast was too pricey to try. However it was a comfortable bed in a clean room and while in the heart of the town, Dawson is small so you would be hard pressed to find a poorly located hotel.

Rooms were clean and surprisingly we were glad to have air conditioning. This is a quaint older property with winding staircase and no elevator. The restaurant had quick service and a nice selection for breakfast. The bar was a fun gathering place and the piano player was a surprise.

This hotel is like stepping back in time. The hotel has seen better days, but it was clean and comfortable. We did some laundry, which was a bit of a challenge since they have one washer and one dryer, but we got it done. We had some room service and we found the food good, if not a bit pricey. We enjoyed the bar in the hotel. Fun place

The staff are rude! There is limited hot water! The hot tub was not working. The water suddenly turned scolding hot then freezing cold a couple of times during my shower! The only good thing I can say is the piano player in the saloon was incredibly talented!!

My husband and I ate lunch here on our first day in Dawson City. Bar wasn't very crowded. Service was good, food was average. We went back after hearing the story of the Sour Toe shot, which occurs between 9-11 nightly. Customers buy a shot, stand in line to pay $5.00, to have a real toe dropped in their drink. They must drink the shot and have the toe touch their lips. If accomplished, they receive a certificate. My husband I were not willing to do the Sour Toe, but many people were. This is a big attraction in town, even if you're just an onlooker.

If in Dawson City be sure to take a peek in this hotel and its saloon. It's looks is still authentic to the gold rush times. But then the rooms are small, you can't open the windows and the air conditioner rattles like a snoring bear. Fun for one night.

We stayed at this hotel for three days with a tour group. Apparently, everyone had different style rooms. Our room was large, had a bar type area with sink, coffee maker, microwave, refrigerator...very pleased with this configuration. We also used the washer and dryer which didn't cost very much.

This used to be owned by "The Dick" and had a sign in front that said "Parking for BMW motorcycles only". He was a big supporter of motorcyclists, especially those riding the Dempster, and of the annual Dust to Dawson motorcycle gathering. Since it was early April, we were NOT on our BMW, but rather in a nice warm 4X4 pickup. Stayed 3 nights waiting for the blizzard on the Dempster to move out. Very nice front desk staff - gave us a free upgrade from the annex to the main hotel. Clean rooms, include a fridge and a micro-zapper. Restaurant was not so good - food badly undercooked, lackadaisical service.

Spent 3 nights. Rooms were very loud. Could hear person in next room coughing etc. Person upstairs walking around. The showers had great water pressure. Staff was friendly. Booked a number of rooms for our group. Married couples, single men, we all got 2 double beds. overall unfortunately the noise ruined it for me.

I placed a RSVP via Booking, com for June. That website did NOT show the hotel has a NON-REFUNDABLE cancelation policy. So now I'm coerced and extorted to stay there in June with no possibility of getting a refund from a canceled RSVP. DO NOT STAY HERE and be advised Booking.com does not highlight the non-refund cancelation till after you place the RSVP.
