Pearl Farm Beach Resort

We booked a night stay at Pearl Farm to end our 5D4N Davao trip. We read a lot of good reviews about the resort and decided to try it. The resort is situated at Samal Island. You need a 30-45 minute boat ride from Pearl Farm Marina to the resort. When boarding the boat to Pearl Farm, you can ask for free luggage assistance. They can also set a free transfer when you get back from Pearl Farm. The usual was airport transfers but since our flight is still in the evening, we scheduled a transfer to SM Lanang. The staff at the marina and the boat crew are very accommodating and helpful. You can sense their genuine hospitality. Upon arrival at the resort, you'll be greeted by smiling staff, cold towel and welcome drinks. Our accommodation was at the Hill top rooms. It may look traditional on the outside but it's not what it looks like on the inside. It's clean, modern and spacious. You may request if you prefer rooms with 2 beds or 1 big bed. We had our lunch at the Maranao Restaurant. The food selection is good and has big servings. Breakfast is buffet. The facilities. This can be Pearl Farm's best asset. The design of the areas is really cool. It merges traditional aspects with nature inspired design. The infinity pool has great views of the parola and the sea. Can be improved: - The beach area is not that good. You can swim but it's better on the pool. On our way to the resort, you may see plastic and other debris floating. On the Malipano Island beach area, there was even a floating diaper. - In the evening, the electricity went out a couple of times due to strong winds. The electricity went out once in the morning. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and will come back in the future.

It's a beautiful spot and the friendly staff look after you well. The food and beverages are quite good and not overpriced at all. One word of warning, if staying in the hilltop houses you are basically in a small forest so expect tiny lizards in your room, they're harmless and are scared of you but if you're squeamish about such things don't stay on the hilltop.

from the moment I first got in touch with Pearl Farm via email Irene was efficient and responded in a very timely manner. I was really impressed before I ever arrived. I came in by land our local friends took us scuba diving and we landed at the main pier and drove to the hotel. Security was very efficient courteous and professional. We checked in and were driven to our room # 4 the Mandalay room. Great room on stilts with a balcony that opens up to the ocean. The AC was great and cooled us off. Breakfast buffet was good and the dining area is right next to the infinity pool. The resort is not crowded and you can truly relax. I knew I was in the right place as I walked towards a pool chair and a staff member completly walking in the other direction asked me if I needed a towel and made a 180 degree turn and went and got me a towel. Unbelievable. Tho we did not rent a wave runner they have a discounted happy hour price of 50% off all rentals. I think it s from 4 to 5 pm. The massages were good and reasonably priced. Saturday night they had a fire dancer show one of the best we have ever seen, so much fun and they dance with the audience at the end of the show. Now we had an early flight on Sunday morning and could not take the scheduled free hotel shuttle. Irene went ahead and scheduled a private speed boat to pick us up early. Now it gets better when we arrived at Davao a driver met us there and drove us to the airport. When we got to Davao airport another hotel employee met us there tool our luggage and walked us up to the airlines. There was a misunderstanding regarding the fare and we were delayed about 20 minutes while we straightened it out. During that whole period the hotel rep, i forget his name waited with s and once we were done escorted us right up to security. I have travelled a lot and have never had this level of service. It goes without saying tho its a bit pricey this is a truly relaxing 5 star resort. It is a bit rustic but you are paying for the scenery and the great service. I will absolutely stay here again but this time longer than 3 nights.

Our family went to Pearl Farm for the first time back in 1998 and were impressed with the ambiance and amenities offered, so we wanted to see how much has changed after 19 years. We were stunned to discover that the resort had not only been maintained very well but also improved from the first time we went. The buffet selection highlighted the best that Filipino cuisine has to offer, especially the lechon (roasted suckling pig) and kinilaw (ceviche). The homemade pizza was also worth a second round. The hotel staff cleans the beach front every morning and the view from the Samal house where we stayed in is definitely Instagram-worthy. The resort also organizes a movie night at the Parola (main docking area), which is a great bonding experience. The service is also top-notch, as we were attended to diligently by Ms. Wendy from the moment we rode the boat on the way to the resort. Pearl Farm is a must-stay for families and couples traveling to Davao for sightseeing.

This place was the best among all the places that we visited. Definitely worth the money. If you ever visit, try to stay for at least 2 nights so that you can make the most out of it. Staff was amazing. The views were amazing. Such a relaxing place.

I stayed here with family , I was completely blown away with the beauty of this place. I was booked into a "Samal" house, this is built on stilts into the sea, words cannot describe the view first thing in the morning, the tranquility blew me away. The rooms are very well appointed , and have a quality and luxury feel to them . The staff are very friendly and accommodating , to sum up this place is truly wonderful !

I was travelling solo this time and I must say I was impressed. From airport pick up to boat transfer and check-in, the whole process was seamless. The room was fantastic (I stayed at Samal House). Breakfast food selection wasn't bad either, by the way. The staff were very attentive, always greeting the guests with a smile wherever you meet them. And I liked those little detail where they would visit in the evening to give cookies with notes before going to sleep. The only minor issue I had was when I requested for my alcoholic drinks that come with the room package to be delivered to my room, I didn't receive any. I was pretty much tired from going around the Island anyway so I just slept.

Welcome Party is so refreshing. Upon arrival you will be awe. Staff all smiles and friendly approach. Except for two things my Room Mandaya 16 no hot water, and our taklobo and coral trip was delay, due to miscommunication of the staff.

what I adored most from my 2nd Pearl Farm Beach Resort experience: * good booking arrangements with Jun; * warm reception of resort staff upon stepping on the Parola; * attentive service of Robustiano aka Rob, a Maranao Resto staff; * friendly housekeeping crew; * assistance of Aldrin in ensuring that I experience their relaxing spa; and * Verna of the Mandaya Spa

We spent 6 nights in Malipano villa for the wedding of my son , the place is amazing . Service is perfect staff are the best , very helpful always smiling . The villas are stunning , each one has different interior . Love it and would recommend it to anybody can afford it !
