Perfect Family Getaway with unforgettable hospitality

Our family of 4 from the upstate had an amazing stay at this beachfront property on Daufuskie Island. The beach was clean, peaceful, and never crowded - we visited every day. The included golf cart made exploring a breeze, taking us to museum, farm, restaurants, and scenic spots around the island. I was intially concerned about the electric cart range, but it lasted all day with barely any battery loss.The property was spotless and offered easy access to the beach. The hosptiality went above and beyond - my wife accidentally left her wedding ring behind, and they promptly mailed it back to us, saving us from another ferry trip.This is the perfect spot for families with younger kids who wnat relaxation, fun, and a touch of adventure.We'll definitely be back!PS - Tons of deer and wildlife here as well!

Wonderful Daufuskie Stay!

This was our 2nd time visiting Daufuskie and staying in Melrose. The cottage is exactly as pictured and the rental company checked on us via text and responded quickly. We truly didn't have any issues during our 6 day stay. You need to plan ahead (book ferry, land trans to the cottage, cart if not included and groceries) but the companies we used make it easy. I recommend putting all of your groceries in extra large storage duffel bags before getting on the ferry. Melrose Oyster House has a small grocery store if you need something quick like ice but I wouldn't buy all of your groceries on the island. The beach is quiet and extremely clean, I didn't see a single piece of trash. We will certainly be back!

Relax and Reset

The cottage was lovely, the view of the ocean from the screen porch was perfect. Daufuskie Island is a great place to reset. There are very few people, beautiful nature and plenty of animals. There really isn’t much to do other than relax, read, beach and the history tour so if you want an active night life this is not the place for you.

LOVED IT!

Charming comfortable home with a beautiful setting! We spent two days at the property and were glad to be there when a storm came through and trapped us in the house. We just enjoyed hanging out in the house! Management checked in with us regularly and we had no problems whatsoever. We would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful bungalow with beautiful view

This is our second time staying at the home, and that says it all. Lovely, clean, all you need, and our favorite-the screened in porch. time slows down on Daufuskie. We loved every minute of it.

Relaxing family getaway

Wonderful oceanfront cottage. Comfortable and a quick walk to the beach. Great place for kids to swim in the ocean safely. Management was very helpful and responsive. Island is very quiet with minimal groceries and restaurants but great that it is secluded and not commercialized. Totally easy to bring groceries and supplement as needed on the island. Highly recommend.

Family time

4 days of peace & quiet. Had fun exploring the island with our golf cart and bikes. Nice home with lots of kitchen basics (coffee filters, spices, etc.) provided.
