The photos of the apartment on the VRBO site are accurate. The apartment is updated and had everything that we needed for a stay of several weeks. It is ideal for one or two people. Mfon was a very responsive host, which we greatly appreciated. I don't know how the map function for VRBO is programmed, but we did feel somewhat misled about its location. We expected the property to be somewhere clearly inside the circle on the map, and likely close to the house icon that appeared in the center of the circle. That area has been redeveloped and is primarily residential. Upon arriving, we discovered that the apartment was not in the circle but on its outer edge in a busier, more transitional area characterized by a range of businesses, apartments, and an empty lot (next to the building). It would have been helpful to know that at the time of booking. During the first few nights, we heard altercations outside the window and in the courtyard late at night, and someone banged on the bedroom window at 3 a.m. one night. We understand that Mfon has no control over who is in the area and appreciated Mfon's empathy and responsiveness when we shared these incidents. Mfon was also incredibly responsive in getting the back gate repaired and a power outage resolved. Bottom line: the apartment was perfect for our needs and Mfon was a great host; however, the disruptions did impact the stay so I must characterize it as good rather than great.
